Hi, I'm new to the forum (great forum btw) and looking for my first Z4, seen a few already but nothing has caught my eye. So...

As above, the ideal (but not limited to) spec I am after is,

FULL SERVICE HISTORY IS ESSENTIAL.
M-sport seats,
Cruise control,
Aero skirts,
Some facelift parts would be a bonus!
Nothing over 100k miles

Let me know what you have got, please PM me if you have a car you think I might be interested in. Obviously my budget will depend on how good the spec of car is!

Thanks

Hope you are flexible on the aero skirts, they are not that common. M Sport seats are also rarer on pre face lifts.

Yeah, the only thing I am not flexible on is the service history/mileage and colour, and and it must be a 3.0! All options/extras I am happy to budge on, but will adjust the budget for the right car! :)

As good as this forum is, can anyone suggest any other UK forums where I might find a z4 for sale. Widening my search might help me find 1 sooner rather than later! :driving:

Have you taken a look on Pistonheads? That tends to be more popular that auto trader now.

I'll take a look now, but for some reason I always tend to find cars on pistonheads over priced!

Any other BMW specific forums worth looking at to find Z4's for sale? I am aware that a lot of cars are sold via forums and not "released tot the public" via autotrader etc.

ebay, AT, Pistonheads and here are you best options

Sadly there isnt anything on any of those sites that takes my fancy at the moment!

1 question, were m-sport seats an option on pre-facelifts or have people fitted them afterwards?

How long have you been looking Patrick? Don't lose patience, the right one will come up but give it some time if you have some to spare.

They were an option hence my comment about them bring rarer on pre face lifts.

As tom says you will have to sit tight.

About 6 weeks all in, yeah I suppose I am in no desperate rush except I am worried that any sun we are due this summer might come and go before I get one and Ill end up looking for a coupe! ha I suppose the only bonus is, the longer I take to find 1, the more cash I will have to put towards the right one!

Right ok, I wasn't sure if people had just been taking them out of face-lifts and retro fitting them! Were they a very expensive option? as it doesn't seem like they were a very popular purchase. I know what I would have done if I was buying a brand new Z4!

they were "not available" on the pre-facelift.

I am so p*ssed of with looking for cars now! Twice I have had my time wasted or been let down by sellers. A mint z4 came up for came up for sale last night on auto-trader which fitted what I wanted (I found it within an hour of it being posted) so I rang the trader at 9am and spent 15 minutes on the phone talking through the car (to ensure it was as good as the advert said) and arranged to drive 110 miles to newport to view the car this evening after work to view/buy. The trader said he was out of the office all day playing golf so I couldn't go sooner which suited me. He then text me a couple of hours later asking if I could come tomorrow after work, to which I obliged. All was sorted, had a lift sorted and was 99% going to buy the car unless there was something majorly wrong with the car. He then texts me just now (9.50pm) to basically say "I'm really sorry, my colleague sold the car via email last night and I didn't know he had taken a deposit" ?! Now call me cynical but that stinks of bull to me!

SO BLOODY ANNOYED! :headbang: :fuelfire:

My mate had the same issues hunting for an M3. Persevere, you'll find a gem eventually.

The chap who bought my old roadster was looking for 6 months, then bought mine after I decided sell (made a throw away remark in a post on here after deciding I wanted an M).

He got a bargain 3.0i roadster with full sports interior, custom wheels, FSH etc a well loved motor. I ended up travelling to Oxford after a 3 month search to buy a new zed..... C'est la vie

I spent ages looking too and eventually ended up flying to Northern Ireland and driving it back to the North East.

Take your time the right one will come along, eventually. :driving:

The annoying thing is, I have found "the right one" twice, cars which I would have been very happy with. Just had people pull the rug from under my feet. At this rate I am going to miss all of summer and therefore have no interest in a convertible. Would be different if I got the pleasure of a few good months and then deal with winter! Maybe I should just buy a mint 330ci
