WANTED - Z4 ///M roady - any colour , spec , miles considered

mr wilks

Lifer
 Lancashire
No longer looking but thanks to those who contacted me , best of luck selling

Ok , at some point in the next few months ( Dec - March ) i plan to get back into a S54  would prefer that to be a forum member's car but if i find one elsewhere first & it ticks out then i'l buy it
I'm in no rush so thought id pop this up for anyone who may be thinking of selling over the coming 3 - 4 months but may hold back due to the winter season
I'm not after high priced , low miles perfection but do want a true honest car that its previous owners have shown some respect to .
Not fussed if the car needs a service , wheel refurb , tyres , brakes or the odd cosmetic scuff to sort
Will consider ones that have had cosmetic mods but would rather avoid any that have blatantly been tracked ( just my preference )
Not hung up on miles too much but ideally sub 85k
History is vital & i would hope for seats & steering wheel to be as they should be
Thanks

Going to try and squeeze another in this year Andy? 6 Zeds in 12 months? :D

That's not a primary thought but as there seems a few forum members chasing my tail perhaps 6 in one year will distinguish the serious from the players :D

Sensible - putting it out there

The saga continues - magic

No schmooze Paul , , , buying your Si totally reconnected me to what owning a Z4 is about & as much as i enjoyed owning the E89 they just don't involve the owner / driver to the same level
The recent roadtrip with other 85s only cemented those thoughts hence my desire to return to a ///M

No doubt a great initial buzz but in reality just a faster variation of the same car :? no different in many respects to the 340BHP Scirocco R i spent a week in France with earlier this year :driving: a total riot at times , very very quick , supremely capable but in no way connecting when you want it to be

This 04 3.0se has certainly made me smile and it's an absolute blast on a short B road run, but I'm longing to get back in the E89, on MPSS's it's a different animal, not quite as chuckable or light but still hugely capable with a level of comfort the E85 can't get close to. Horses for courses of course, both damn good cars. However i definately think this little 3.0se is lots more fun than my M was, you can use the power right through the Rev range and keep sensible, it's just as chuckable and light with spot on power to chassis ratio, it's great fun.

I wouldn't disagree with any of that John but with all respect you haven't been knuckle deep chasing "Lynchy" in his ///M down the straights & bends of Normandy
Not saying i won't get into a twin turbo 89 at some point but for now i'm after a bit more character & pedigree

Hey no M's are great, no doubt, it's just a badge though. Joking aside trying all these cars does give one a good all round perspective, it's a great way to banish doubts that you've bought the right car, gets it out of your system so to speak. It's also good how some like one thing and someone else another, no-one right or wrong, makes it an interesting place. :D

M roady is a great car and the market is has cooled with prices being more reasonable now... prices seem firm enough and if anything have dropped a bit in 2016..
See what happens next year..

An awesome car in most aspects, although It would find keeping up with a 35is hard work ..

Never a dull moment with you Andy- not tempted to have a crack at an Alpina to complete the set?

Possibly but it would have to be considerably less ££ than a equivalent M  i don't get the price scene on them at all , jmo but they should be bang between a Si & a M pricewise & looking at the market they just aren't :?

I know what you mean with them being older but I guess Alpina will always have a following as ///M cars will, and with such low production numbers they will always hold value.

What about my Z4M in sepang?
PM if you wants some more info, and its on AT. Im based on the south coast.
Cheers.
