Wanted : Z4 Coupe Sport Auto

To be fair, he has reduced it alot, not that it was ever worth what he was asking for in the first place (after hearing your description)! Close to £12k originally I believe..

Yes I realised that and it does look a lot better in the photo's. It does drive ok, just needs cared for by someone. I thought I was being fair with my offer  He originally told me he was negotiable on price. I couldn't really get a good look at the paintwork all over as the car was so dirty. When I made him the offer it was on the condition that I can wash the car myself at a garage and get a proper look at the paint before buying. He stated that there was nothing wrong and seemed quite offended that I didn't just take his word for it... :scratchhead: My hard earned I believe :|

I think you made him more than a reasonable offer! Not sure what he's holding out for if he's not willing to accept a 4% reduction in negotiation? (especially after stating he would negotiate) you never know he may call you back!

I am constantly amazed at the number of people who expect you - who doesn't know them from Adam - to part with thousands of pounds for a product just because they say 'everything's fine', and are offended when you make a reasonable request to test their assertion. Any honest seller wouldn't have a problem - I sell for a living, and will often go above and beyond to prove the value of my services / goods, because I have nothing to hide and understand I need to prove my trustworthiness. Sorry, bit of a soap-box moment, but you are buying the person as much as the car, if that makes sense. Hold out, you'll find the right one

Hell, you may even see the light and realise that a roadster is REALLY what you want :poke:

It took me about 8 weeks from selling my Z3MR to buying my Z4MC. If you know what you are looking for then it's worth waiting for it to come along. Now I've got my perfect coupe in the garage the wait to find the car is a distant memory.

Colour wise, have you considered carbon black as well, it takes on an inky blue hue in daylight and looks like dark metallic blue in sunshine. Pain to keep clean though!

Keep checking autotrader, pistonheads and even ebay. Good look with the search.

The search has been 8 weeks so I think my search may go on a little longer. I have noticed that the majority of the 20 or so coupes for sale in the usual places are the same 20 or so from 8 weeks ago and some have been for sale a lot longer.

Shame you wouldnt settle for a silver auto with 18,000 on the clock
chipped tuned and quad pipes, full blue led conversion.

As too the argument why auto, I ask why manual, there slower on acceleration unless you really know how to drive fast, clutches cost a bomb and a load of hassle when they go, and when you want to be a bum let it do its thing and chill.

:D
