Wanted : Z4 Coupe Sport Auto

I'm looking to buy a coupe and have Monaco blue in mind as my preferred colour preferably with saddle brown or black leather and as low mileage as possible.

Awaiting a phone call tomorrow to see if one I have an offer on is secured or the search continues.

Also was watching one that was on Pistonheads that fits the bill but the advert expired before I could make contact with the seller and now I have no contact details :( I have a post up in the general section to see if anyone knows the seller or the car, could possibly be sold but I have no way of finding out..

Thanks in advance for any help I have on my quest

Yours is Montego Blue is it not? I'm looking lower miles than that at the minute. The reason I would like an auto is I test drove one that was for sale here recently, it was the perfect car for me 2008 Monaco Blue Sport, Auto, Black Leather, 108's. It had 17k on it FBMWSH and went for £13500.

I was willing to buy it but another buyer from England had arranged to buy it unseen from just photographs, he flew over and picked it up today. The dealer had already agreed to sell it to him so held it for about a month for him to collect.

Obviously wasn't meant to be but they don't come up for sale here that much so I will now have to travel. Doesn't really bother me as I've done it before but you take a chance that the seller is being honest with you when describing the car as I have had to get back on a plane before after walking away wasting an air fare for a car described as immaculate that turns out to be far from it :(

I would not believe everything these trade sellers tell you 2008 17K miles for £13500 Sounds too cheap for a trade seller something dodgy there . . also i have seen monaco blue and montego blue and montego blue is stunning so thats the better colour also you want a manual much much better for this car . good luck though .

I saw the car, test drove it and had it checked with the chassis number and reg by a friend who works at a BMW dealership. I have bought a few cars in my time and this was the real deal, so much so I offered cash for it at the asking price but someone else got the deal. :(

Monaco Blue and Auto are my choice at the moment but I could be swayed towards a manual. Haven't driven one yet and there are none currently for sale near me unfortunately. :(

still not buying that i went through similar thing saw a porsche cayman at 20K test drove it etc went home got it checked out everything ok offered him full asking price said he had sold it to someone abroad who had not even looked at it . .something dodgy going on with other countries financial problems buyin cars over here . . anyway trust me i have had both auto and manual in the straight six and manual much better althoug auto very good its just when you drive the manual it feels better .

Listed as Midnight Blue on their website. Is there even such a colour? No PDC would be my only gripe. Anyone close to Lincoln fancy taking a look at this for me?

Ah my bad, midnight blue is an Individual colour option (if it is Midnight) costing an additional £745.

You can find all the colours here:

Midnight must be pretty rare, also a pretty rare Interlagos Blue one here:

Midnight looks virtually the same as Monaco - mines Monaco and original govs is Midnight but parked side by side you can't really tell they are different. Interlagos is M.

Well more bad news for me. I don't think I'm destined to own one of these. Emailed Soper's last night about this car this afternoon I'm informed it sold today  :( The search still goes on. Someone up there is having a laugh at me

Possibly other colours too. Greys, Silver.
Spec

Pref Auto but WHY?
Black Leather interior
Multi function wheel
Phone prep
Comfort Pack
PDC
Xenons?
108's?

Went to look at a 2006 car today Black with Red Auto with 34k on it. The car was cheap. 1st impressions not good as the seller hadn't washed or hoovered the car before I arrived. Not good in my opinion. Some small dents, scratches, one quite large dent on the rear quarter, drivers seat leather seemed to have been plucked by people getting in and out. Front bumper needing painted due to lacquer peel, scuffs on rear bumper. scratches on the plastic trim inside I assume caused by fingernails. To be honest for a prestige car such as a 'Z' I would expect it to be presented better when selling..

So bearing in mind the work required, offered the seller £400 under the asking price. Answer 'No' £400 wouldn't even begin to put the cosmetic faults right.

The search continues...hopefully be more coupes on the market as the year progresses.

the wait is worth it, keep looking and you will find a good 1

sellers need to sell more than buyers need to buy

I know the car - looks poverty spec to me. Badly advertised also! There are better cars out there if you ask me!

Yes. Only photos of one side of the car, I now know why  No Xenons, No comfort pack, No Nav, Not BMWSH and due a service. I have more to spend for the right car and I was compromising but thought as this one was cheap I could spend a bit on it and thought it was a fair enough offer given the way it was presented and the cosmetic faults but he assures me he has a buyer who is offering the asking price. Good luck to him..

In the current financial climate that statement couldn't be more true. If anyone hears of anything be sure to let me know. Thanks. This part of your recruitment drive Taz :P
