WANTED: Z4 Coupe 3.0 SI Sport

Wow, what were the chances of that?! I trust he's offering you some sort of goodwill payment with regards to 6 hour trip, train tickets etc?
 
He just gave me the £10,000 back. I'm not bothered about the other money as the train ticket will be utilised anyway and the 6 hour round trip would have happened regardless of whether I bought the car or not.

I was fuming this morning, but now I've calmed down I'm just going to get on with it. At least he gave me plenty of notice (kind of) and was honest with me. I'm more gutted because the car looked absolutely gorgeous and would have suited me down to the ground.

So anyone with any other cars? Budget to £11,750 max.
 
Unbelievable!! I was also interested in this car and was gutted to hear he already found a buyer.

And the car I went to look at has now appeared on Gumtree although not sure if he has put the ad up as it doesn't look very genuine:

ETA: The ad has now been removed. I text him to let him know that his car had appeared on there at £2900 with the exact same eBay ad and then it disappeared. Coincidence? You decide!

I just finished a 450mile round trip today to see a z4 blue up north, and luckily it was in great condition. pickup next week :driving:
 
am i reading this right, you handed over a lump of money to somebody you dont know and then go the next day to collect !! 8)

I'm going to view another one tonight that sounds perfect so fingers crossed!
 
Scratch that last post as the seller has taken a deposit from someone else. Are there any sellers out there that don't mess buyers around?!

On the plus side budget has risen to £12,000. Ideally after black with red leather or blue with cream leather, upgraded hi-fi etc etc.

Lol, if you are referring to a private seller with 108's then yeah I know the one you're referring to :D I saw that one first and then went further north and purchased one from a dealer as the part-ex was convenient. The first one was a close second as the body work was good and engine tight as a drum, just had major lacquer issues on all the alloys.
 
I've been to look at another coupe this morning, however it was priced too high for the spec. Each time I go to see one though it makes me want one more and more, just wish I could find the right one - fed up of waiting now! :thumbsdown:

This is the one I went to see this morning. Only went as its in my village so to be fair I knew the spec wasn't what I wanted and it wad going to be out my price range. Although the salesman did offer a £90 discount!!

When do you get yours? Have you got a link?

Jamming Jim - I'm based in Southampton also - haven't seen your E86 about yet, but mine's a black one on 07 plate - so wave if you see me. 450 miles is nothing, I bought mine (from a forum member) in February and that was an 850 mile round trip to Glasgow!

PM me if you want any tips on local maintenance or just to talk Zeds! Always happy to find somebody else locally to try and organise runs! 8)
