WANTED: Z4 Coupe 3.0 SI Sport

Hi all,

As per the title I'm looking for a Z4 Coupe Sport. Budget is up to about £11,000.

I'm quite laid back when it comes to spec apart from it needs to be a Sport - would prefer blue, red (the favourite) or black, not too fussed about interior colour. Ideally would have PDC, uprated music system, heated seats, xenons and cruise, although a car with more/less/different opitions would not be overlooked.

There are a few on the various sales sites that I like the look of but thought I would see if anyone has anything on here, as I would prefer to buy from a forum member.

Anyone with anything suitable?

I would also be willing to look at silver/grey is anyone knows of any??+

My car is up for sale now so hoping to find something soon(ish)!

This guy is a salesman's dream.. I want a car but not really fussed what colour the outside is, or the inside, infact Im not really bothered about what spec it has. I just want one. :P

Good luck with the search ali4390, you will love the car whatever you end up with. I loved mine and still pine for it now and again

 The way I see it is, I currently drive a 2000 Fiesta Zetec S that I've had since 17 (first car) so any kind of Z4 Coupe is going to be a massive step up in terms of comfort, performance, technology etc. And at the budget I'm looking at I can't afford to be too picky, although there are certain options that I would like. I know I said above I would like one soon but I'm not in a massive rush as I've got use of another should mine sell so willing to wait for the right one.

As for colour, I haven't seen a Z4C that I didn't think looked stunning no matter the colour! Fair enough, blue, black and red are my favourites but I'd happily have a grey/silver if the price/spec was right.

i think the basic spec ones with small wheels and non m interiors look pretty horrible.... but thats just me :D

Does anyone have any thoughts/opinions/knowledge on any of these three?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2007-BMW-Z4-3-0-si-Sport-Coupe-limited-edition-colour-rare-car-/140753959543?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item20c596fa77 - Again it has the right spec for me and the right history etc, but the dealer is hardwork. Apparently a trader offered him £12,000 cash so he wouldn't take any offers, if I was him and a trader offered £12,000 cash then I'd snap his hand off!

And finally http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2007-BMW-Z4-Coupe-SI-Sport-Blue-/180910627049?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2a1f1d18e9 - I love the colour combination but it seems to be lacking some options like heated seats etc that I'd quite like and don't want to stretch my budget for a car that isn't exactly what I want.

Is the last one Breakers old coupe by any chance.. Just noticed it has the carbon rear diffuser on it?

The first one has been for sale for a little while so you should be able to do a deal. Nice colour, wouldnt worry about MOT or Tax, brakes just check out what he's done the rest is all standard options.

The other two:

Montego blue really is the most common coupe colour, if you really like it go for it, otherwise I'd go for something more unique, but its all down to preference.

The second one is missing 108s for me, but again down to choice, also has the aluminium dash. If he really was offered £12k it would be sold.

The final one looks nicer. Extended leather is rare and was expensive. The rear diffuser sets it off nicely. My personal fav of the 3, but the first one looks good too.

Cheers for the reply.

I rang up about the first one last night and that eased my mind slightly about my concerns. It has the right options, the interior looks good but I am slightly undecided about the exterior colour. I might try and have a look this weekend and see what it's like in the flesh.

The second one missing 108s doesn't really concern me as I like the other alloys just as much, although I appreciate 108s will help resale value in the future. But the dealer has put me right off!!

Its quite a rare colour the first one (if it is monaco blue) it certainly does look nice.

If you dont mind MV2s then perhaps they will be a better buy for you considering the issues with 108s..

What do you think of the 3rd one?

The first one has sold apparently which is pretty gutting as that was my favourite. The third one looks really nice but I'm slightly concerned about the lack of options. It doesn't have heated seats, xenons, parking sensors or cruise, however it looks phenomenal!

Apologies - I'm the new owner of the first one, picked it up today it's gorgeous! 'Uprated brakes' it has aftermarket front discs, drilled, that's all.

Stick out for what you want, its worth it. I waited 4 months before I found a black one with all the options I wanted. Even then it was only 90% of what I wanted but you have to compromise a little or you will be waiting forever!

Went to have a look at the second one today and it is very nice in the flesh, however the dealer wouldn't budge at all on price.

As for the other one, I am starting to think I can live without heated seats and xenons, lasted so far without them after all! Decisions decisions...

Heated seats and xenons can be retrofitted (albeit a pain in the backside) the carbon fibre diffuser can't though as its no longer available as it was a discontinued part. They look awesome on the coupe ( I had one on mine) I still must get at least one message a month from someone asking where I got mine from and how much I paid for it.. They are very sought after.

Went to see the third car on Sunday, looked great in the flesh and was everything I wanted (apart from the heated seats and Xenons). Was a 6 hour round trip to view the car but it was worth it and decided it was the one for me, so when I got home I rang up and agreed to buy it. The seller was happy, I was happy, all was good.

I agreed to transfer the money yesterday so I could collect it on Wednesday evening. Money transferred, train ticket booked, insurance sorted, everything looked to be going well.

Until this morning when I got a text off the seller. Apparently his dad had offered to lend him some money so he didn't need to sell the car anymore.

So the search now goes on.
