WANTED: On the lookout for Z4M aftermarket exhausts

After 3 years with my RPI screamers i'm thinking it may be time for something more sanitised. Not much more mind you... :rofl: Something like the Eisenmann Race for example.

If you have something for sale let me know here. Not in a rush though so may hold out for a nice deal. :wink:
 
ga41 can you hold out for alittle while????? ive got something in the works MAYBE.... im hoping to work with DKF to bring his exhaust over here, i think you may have seen that thread over on zpost but were talking near akrapovic levels of quality, many many options, sports cats, race cats, all on a v-bad bolt in exhaust, including the damped mounts to elimante that nasty drone......!!!

im hoping to be the uk tester for the exhaust and run the group buy for DKF this site if the pond..... watch this space.....
 
I'm not in any rush at all and Dio's exhaust does look very interesting but way too much $$$ for me at the moment. You'd need to get a system from S-pipe and back wouldn't you? I don't think the mufflers will attach with our stock X-Pipe right?

Also i'm not looking for power gains, just a nice noise. :driving:

they have adapters you you can use as much or as little of their bits as possible..... :-) the whole reason hoping to bring it here is to LOWER the unit cost for ALL of us, we need a good few people on board to get the lower cost for me included..... i will be the guinea pig for dyno tests, fitment, fit and finish, the different coatings offered....
 
i too am now tired of the rpi noise..... its just silly imo...... its an awesome sound but just stupid loud.... bare in mind its significantly got louder after boost was added :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
 
Well i would be interested in a mufflers only OR mufflers + X-pipe provided cost isn't excessive. :thumbsup:

im working on it ... and im working on hopefully lowering the unit cost by getting another 10+ ordered from this side..... not everyone is going to order a full system @ 2500gbp.... i however will run the full system... ill hopefully be making a thread in the ///M section soon, i will document everything from unboxing to dyno tests, to problems i get from the system....

Money no object i would love a full system but not much HP/£ unfortunately.

im working out the bits with chris (CFRINE88) and dkf as we speak :-) the product is solid, it just needs some rocket fuel added.... thats exactly what i expect to do...
from the design of the exhaust with its v-band connections, we'll be able to remove this exhaust in 30 mins :-) with all the difference muffler options/Cat options, we be able to eventually build an exhaust for ALL occasions. This is without doubt the best option for the z4m in terms of exhaust BUT..... it comes at a price..... with the usa guys running a GB, us running a GB, im hoping DKF will consider lowering the price, but we'd need to realistically move a high number of units, and i think its completely possible....

to cut this down were talking RPI noise level when revved with no drone, and no vibrations.... PERFECT....

How much is the dkf mufflers alone retailing at?

I've looked at the z post thread loads
 
No idea mate, it got too confusing with the prices, options and still non-existent group buys so I stopped following its progress.
 
I love love love the rpi but I have to agree ....... They are simply too loud IMO....... Luckily I only have to hear it once a week..... Lol

Yeah at the end of last year he was selling his old super sprints and x pipe too, I know cos I nearly bought them :lol:

There are plenty on youtube but what i really want to know is how it's like to live with. If i trade the droney but mostly rasp free RPI's for the still droney but even raspier Supersprints then it's not much of an upgrade for me... I really want to avoid that horrible tinny rasp that reminds me of stupid 1.4lt Honda Civics with enormous fart can exhausts in the back...

The RPI's rasp only a little at low revs, then it's all bass..
