WANTED (not anymore) πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ E86 Coupe Manual :)

By all accounts his cars are well presented, but you certainly pay a price for that. :o

I didn't pay much more for my 76K mile MC in December 2019 than the asking price for his black 76K miler. And I paid Β£3K less for my Montego Blue 3.0Si on 77K in 2016!

I'd wait for a forum member to put one up for sale. After all mileage isn't really an issue on the N52 engine.

I've been to his 3 times now, really nice guy, was tempted by the red one he has.

Can't find the one that I really want that excited me enough to buy

Sadly it’s game of patience which is easier said than done when you want to buy your new car πŸ˜„

I literally am the most impatient person ever.
I see it as wasting precious time driving to London and Wales looking at utter crap, it's soul destroying.

I feel my luck has changed recently.
Standby :-P :-P

How many have you looked at? :o
Yes, nothing worse than travelling to a car to find not as described or obvious details were deliberately missed off. The drive home is solemn.
If you see something particualry bad, then post it up, it could help others who were considering the same car.

Many forums have a 'hunters' thread as a sticky, where owners can go to post up perspective cars, post the bad ones or generally help each other to locate one. I dont think we have here for the Coupe.

Something will come up, there's some cracking cars out there and I'm sure someone will be selling soon.

On the flipside, I feel these are starting to get appreciated more by the current owners as a car worth more than they offer in vlaue to sell, the replacement (for similar or better) is hard to justify for some, that may be why the good ones are being kept.?

I remember when I went to look at Z4 coupe. ~4,5 hours on a train, met the seller at the station. Car was supposed to be mint, had plenty of smaller things that should be done and to crown it all, previous accident damage that was not repaired very well. Still for some reason wanted to buy the car but we could not agree on the price as he was not willing to take mich less than the asking price. Good that I had a mate with me who told to go and look at another one that I ended up buying

Yeah you're both right, patience is the key but I think I may have cracked it now πŸ˜‰

I'll post up when it's all safe in the garage πŸ™‚

Will be a few weeks yet though.
Thanks for all ya help and advice
