So can they not be ordered as any other extra or spare from your local BMW dealer ?

Not without a CSL chassis number Andy, BMW Taunton were very helpful

Has anyone got this magic number ?

Thanks for all the helpful support, I will try the BMW dealer in Milton Keynes on Thursday, worth a shot!

Sorry to hear that, he has adverts everywhere, once you enquire he's very convincing on the phone, all the BBS stamps etc.

With the amount of complaints he receives I'm surprised that he is still allowed to trade on eBay.

I have a set of 4 genuine BBS CSLs I took off my Z4 Coupe I sold last year. Currently have Michelin Supersports. Were on the car vehicle for less than 3k miles. I bought them new so should (provided I can find it) be able to provide a receipt.

I'll PM you as well.

Cheers,

Andy

Have a look at this site, are these the real deal? Fronts are 8 inch, I'm sure I've seen Steve mention that there is an 8.5 version. Cant read German but i think they may come with tyres too :o

If they are genuine and there is no way of telling from that page then they are 'CS' wheels not 'CSL' as they are only 8" on the fronts.

Ok. What do you think of the price, works out about £1820 without shipping, is that reasonable for CS's?

If they include tyres I would struggle to see they could be genuine unless CS wheels are that much cheaper.

I bought my new M steering wheel from this site and its the real item so i think they are genuine parts. They have other stuff too, big brake kits for the E85 etc, they look like the calipers from the 135i and a strut brace for around £200

Sent a mail to the guys at Individual and this is the response:-

Hi,

there is no difference between 10491 + 10406.
In this offer there is frontaxle rim 8x19.
The 8,5x19 rims costs euro 150,00 more.

The rims are oem BMW CSL rims styling 163.

Betreff: CSL wheels

Hi Guys

On your website you are advertising CSL wheels, product No. 10491 and No. 10406. From the description they appear identical, please can you advise me of the differences if there are any?

I was wondering if the front wheels on one of the products were 8.5 x 19 rims?

One other question, here in the UK if you want CSL rims they have to be ordered against a BMW CSL chassis number. These are genuine CSL rims? Please don't take exception that i ask this question, just checking.

Many thanks for your help

Stuart

You mean how much each rim weighs, is there a specific weight for each one?

So if these are for real the cost would be aprox £1900 for new CSL's (8.5x19 & 9.5x19) with tyres, doesn't seem a bad price does it? How much would they cost from BMW here?
