I'm looking for a Rolex so would sell my 2012 Omega seamaster

As per this ad but only 3 years old

Mike

I've got one of these, very nice watch.

Anyone else noticed how all the big names pushed up their prices year on year from the start of the recession right up to now ?
The watches i considered buying 7 years ago have more than doubled in price to buy , most other luxury items have stagnated or become cheaper

I've noticed this too Andy. The Chrono Diver I bought was £1900 in 2009. 3 years later it was £2500

The new model is £3800 :o

This is crazy lol

Hold on too um lads and give it a few years you will make a mint

I need to get one quick before i need a second mortgage!

You can get 30-40% off rrp of a breitling these days mind, even in an AD. Not sure if that's always been the case though, but they don't hold their value as well as some other high end brands.

Its the exchange rate which causes most of the damage to price rises.

Oh dear, I knew I shouldn't have clicked on this thread!

Found the one I like:

http://www.omegawatches.com/collection/seamaster/diver-300-m/co-axial-chronograph-44-mm/21230445003001

Think I might threat myself next year for my 30th

Just ask in any shop carrying the model in the window. The very least you should be asking for is VAT off as a discount.

After clicking last week on a few that caught my eye i'm now getting the links pasted on the forum page when i log on  its a totally irresponsible thread posted without consideration & care for other members
Ive even asked for a trade in price on my current watch :o
Plus they keep offering 12months zero interest  http://www.watchfinder.co.uk/Rolex/Milgauss/116400/7767/item/47289

Goldsmith's in Trafford centre was even having a sale on some Breitling models last month before they closed the ground floor store for its renovation. But yeah, just ask in ADs, ring around, you'll find places in the north west like Blackpool, Preston, lake district, offer better discounts as they don't shift watches as easily as say in stores in Chester, Manchester, London.
