Depending on your budget, you may also want to consider a pre-owned one

http://www.watchfinder.co.uk/?gclid=CI7ZrOjWzsUCFSsEwwodk2oANA

watch finder is a good site all genuine watches (which cant be said on ebay ect got to be careful there's tons of very good fake tags Rolex brietlings ect out there)

cheers lads, you all have been a great help, budget up to about 1500 but may be able to stretch depending on what it is!

Have a look at www.fellows.co.uk they do a lot of watch auctions. Many have the original box and papers. They always have tags on there. Good luck.

Have a look at Swisswatchesdirect or iconicwatches.... They're no different to buying from an AD really, just a lot cheaper.

Secondhand as others have said Chrono24 and watchfinder are the best.

Now ive been happy & content with my watch for many years but foolishly clicked on a couple of the above links & now ive seen nice things that make me want to change & that's not good news

I've got one of these, very nice watch.

Anyone else noticed how all the big names pushed up their prices year on year from the start of the recession right up to now ?
The watches i considered buying 7 years ago have more than doubled in price to buy , most other luxury items have stagnated or become cheaper
