If you want to go through the Cotswold would it not be better to travel down the M40 to Oxford then onto Woodstock, Morton in the Marsh then Tewkesbury.
Head south from there to the hotel or Bristol wherever people are staying.Just a thought.

Might be better we just need a set of services early on the M40 to meet at.

Wanna plan a route ? Only problem is it need to be simple as I don't have a TomTom  Perry has sent me some roads but I've not managed to pin them together yet.

Bing, we should meet up before the trip to sort something out, Brands Hatch tea rooms?

I could be persuaded... :D Afternoon though, got to wash the car Saturday morning, and rugby Sunday so after two.

One really must read the event's forum more often... totally missed this (again).

Beaconfield services junction 3 M40 could be a good meeting place

Yep, agreed. I'll have a think about this and probably change to there.

A bunch of us are at Millingbrook Lodge over the Severn, but I'm not sure if there are any rooms left.

A couple of us had a quick hoon this morning to see the Severn Bore and passed your Hotel on the way back. It's coming along nicely and they should have the scaffold down by the time you lot get there. Not sure that they'll have the car park surfaced by then though but fingers crossed.

I am sure that the gypsies doing the car park tarmaccing will leave the cars alone ….

Thanks for checking that out for us Alan, I'm sure we'll be fine once they've pumped all the raw sewage out of the cellar and taken care of the rat infestation...

The good news is that there was plenty of road kill along the A48, so there should be plenty of choice on their menu.
However, I dont think the pub garden will be available for you to use. Well, not until they can evict the Pikeys anyway.

I'll change the first list to Beaconsfield, timings tonight and sort a route out through the week. Sorry for being so tardy but we'll have it all sewn up in time. Just been trying to get a new job, and had a lot of rugby lately... Tour coming up next weekend to Leicester :D

Shame none of the Essex crew seem to be up for this / staying over. I shall PM Jonny

I thought Jonny was planning to leave Essex around 11am for a 'cruise' down - don't think he likes 'spirited' driving... :driving:
