VT2 upgrade kit started :-)

was on the track beedub these weekend and even the z4m running stock.
It went all the time sideways, so really can imagine that with the ESS it is crazy. :)
But on the track with the traction controll on u really cant take all the power out.
Left it on because there were so many cars on the track that i was scred that with the tc off my back would slide and hit another car. took the safety route :(

What's the 0-100 times? 1/4? mile times gonna be now?

12.5 1/4 mile? Lower?..traction of the lines gonna be the biggest problem i guess.
 
i havent really recorded any times as im real gentle getting the car off the line, theirs alot more power going thru the drivetrain so im making sure their is no undue stress on the diff, tranny and clutch ect ect but i would expect low low 4's to 60 and maybe with correct tyres im certain this car could hit mid, high 12s in 1/4 mile times.

i really want to swap out my suspension but i absolutly love the way the car handles in stock form, i really do. My new larger bosch injectors really do hose the fuel into the engine, lol when you get on it the fuel gauge falls rapidly........ scarily fast. im getting some lovely stabs of fire thru the exhausts at higher revs on the motorway for example.

ESS are awesome, you only have to see the kit under the bonnet in person and you'll see the research that has gone into making this perform, and look like o.e equipment, infact it exceeds every expectation i have for the car.

hi guys just thought id update this alittle, the car is running perfectly...... mpg is ermmmmmm.......... great (im telling huge lies here) the car is performing very well, the supercharger makes alittle more noise nows its run in, at idle it sounds awesome, a lovely whistle and sucking noise, like my vadar himself!!!!!! ive purchased a new Stack boost gauge for the car, i am currently having a custom column mount gauge pod made which will be recovered in genuine bmw nappa leather ;-) that should look rather tasty!! im having real trouble loading any pics at all to photobucket and really cant be bothered to make a new account with somone else, if i send the pics to someone will they post em up??

also it seem our USA cousins are happily getting alot of ESS usage..... many track used z4ms are using the ess kit with great results, long hard trackdays and the cars are still performing as per expected..... anyway check out this ESS charged coupe from the us........ sick or what?

The mods carried out on that car are unbelievable. He has literally been through every option twice judging by the thread over on ZedPost... Anyway, I've PM'd you my email address if you want to chuck the pictures over I'll get them uploaded for you and stick them on the thread here.
 
Wow.. that coupe looks mean... that spoiler should help with traction.

Good to hear the chargers are withstanding heavy track use...
 
The blue coupe is lovely - I've seen the exhaust before (can't recall the brand) but I think the combination of different-sized exits looks superb.

That zpost thread is AMAZING. Wish I had the time and money to embark on such an epic journey, though doubtless my girlfriend would disagree. Interesting that he chopped the MR for a coupe too! I'd have to have both rather than make that call...

the car is now unfortunatly in winter storage, tucked up under cover, and on trickle charge.... boo hoo, im guna miss it!! still winter brings plenty of time to detail the car in the analist of forms, lol!! also i will be carrying out many upgrades during winter.

Oh really? Care to elaborate?

Oh and, I think it's only fair we swap cars for the winter now. I promise to leave yours unused also but if you have mine for the winter it will come back in Spring looking like it's never hit tarmac like yours.

ok andy so ive got the cowling being done as we speak with the stack unit built in as above... this is being covered in bmw nappa leather with //M stitch!!!..... i promise it will look nuts!!!
The brakes are to be uprated, i really dont want to touch the suspension as i love the way the car handles from the factory plus i love the ride height, ive never been a fan of lowered cars, andy ok ok my car may look like its never been driven but....... i can solumly promise i use and enjoy it to the fullest, i just pamper it beyond belief, lol. I think you need to bring you car over soon and let me do a full days detail/correction on her for you......

andy also.... i no your going to rib me for this but.... my cars will be entering the local show n shine concours event in march.........
