VT2 upgrade kit started :-)

Looks and sounds great, but you definitely need to get to a bigger track to appreciate the full potential. I'd love to see it in action.

Nice vids :) :)

...unfortunatly i just cant seem to use the power on that small track, sideways at the press of my foot!!!!
Yeah it seems like as soon as you start to pile on some speed it's time to brake again, your beast deserves something longer where it can get into its stride a bit more.

thanks for the vids andy..... really good quality their mate, i need to invest in a cam like that. The car ran very well but i definatly noticed the car felt stronger in the earlier stages of the day, by the 6th and 7th run i felt the car was down on power obviously due to heat seak, as at this track we do the laps then the car sits back in the queue ready for the next run, constantly starting the engine to move up the que, this coupled with the very hard nature of curborough really heats things up, when leaving i definatly noticed power wasnt a strong as when i first set out, i definatly want the intercooler for this kik which ill be buying as soon as its available. Also i need to take the car somewhere local to get all the hose clamps changed.. im really not happy with them and want ones that wont loosen with thermal cycling.
over all im very very happy with the kit, the car performs very well but is completly useless with the traction control on, with it off it seems to get sideways very easily...

Thanks for the vid mate - a little teaser i must say... we need more..

Agree with all the comments above, you need a bigger track to see the cars fill potential, probably something like silverstone, bedford, or snetterton which all have long straights where you easily get to as high as 5th - mind you with your car you'll probably hit 6th gear :D .

With regards to heat soak, how high does the temp guage go to when on track (assuming you had time to look  ) ?

I'm doing Bedford on the 18th of Oct with a few CSLs, not sure if i can tempt you into it... :driving: :driving:

PS - are you still running stock brakes?

I so want one of these!!!

flatout the temp gauge doesnt move anywhere from stock.... oil temps are the same as are coolant temps, but.... im noticing the car starts to feel slower at the heat soak warms the intake air..... anyhow i also think their maybe a boost leak as sometimes im sure i can hear a hissing sound ,so sometime during the nice weather this weak i will be boost testing the car on the motorway, i have now added a temp boost gauge which will allow me to conduct some testing.

but as per the temps the car runs exactly the same coolant and oil temp as before, remember this charger has its own oil supply so its no heating up my existing engine oil, this makes a huge difference ;-)

i am still running stock brakes which unfortunatly now seem to turn blue, lol. they DEFINATLY need changine for BBK, yes i agree about curborough i think a stock car probably wouldnt be to far behind me as i cant reach my new power which is higher in the rev range, i need a big long track to really stir the charger up.

boost test results shortly.

Nice videos, but lose the dangling thing from the mirror - must drive you mad having that flapping about :)

pvr i think im used to them now, so actually i dont even notice it anymore ;-)

im going to try and schive home for lunch to do some testing ;-)

Good vids there beedub/andy

U defntly need a decenmt track,with longer straights :D
I know Andy said he managed to stick with u on motorway, but that aside, how do you find the diffirence in power from original,in terms of acceleration/feel??

at curborough its like running with stock power as i cant build any boost apart from on the straight where it really rockets, me and andy had alittle run on the motorway after, i pulled a few car lenghs on him plus i had a passenger and 19s, plus i left the traction control on which cuts up till third in the dry now, i can assure you if traction was off, he would have been eating dust ;-) their in lies the problem, with the tc on, the car is litterally useless when trying to press on but with it off its stepping sideways all the time, so i really need more time to learn the car, all in all im very happy with the kit, im getting much more power, better driveability than stock, pretty much the same mpg, most importantly im getting no added temps on oil and coolant!!
plus my engine bay is pure porn now ;-)

p.s boost test show im getting 4psi so alittle tweaking and tightening im hitting and hold 5psi now, so again very happpy, ive brought a stack boost gauge which i will be getting custom built into the dash somewhere, the car is running very well, cant wait to do vmax day soon, im hoping to see 180mph +!!
if anyones genuinely intrested in the s/c kit ill be happy to meet with you and show you around the kit and explain issues ive had/ not had, plus id moved a load of pipes so it really does look stock, all in all im a very happy camper, i 100% need APs plus my brand new pilot sports just cant cope, if you look at the vid you see its very frisky!

thats an understatement, & not only that it looks like the engine has never been started it's so danm clean & shiny :poke:

byron - i think we should do an evening at Bedford, fancy it? Seen some pretty cheap deals as winter approaches.

If you guys are organising a bedford evening and open to others joining let me know! I'm keen to go back :driving:

next mod??? k-sport brakes, ive done a huge amount of research and i can find nothing bad on the company, if i got for an 8 pot front unit with 6 pot rears the kit still comes out UNDER 2k, APs are over 2k for just the fronts ;-) so im going to give these k-sports a go, ill order them monday if all goes well. the evo boys really say good things about them, many of those guys are well over 350bhp so im more thna happy with that recommendation. oooohhhhhh andy yup my engine is superclean... ive just spent the last 3 hours cleaning it, its looks like brand new now!!!

guys heres a z4mc running the same setup, i was going to do a run like this for you but this guy has captured it for me!! note to self.... leave traction off!!

my supercharger is 1000 miles off its running in oil change, i will be doing the oil change myself, so looking forward to getting my hands dirty, nice and simple, charger has a braided line underneath which has a tap, release the tap the fluid will drain, refill with the new fluid and bang..... check on the s/c dipstick, job done!!

Hi there,

The first message in the forum. I live in Finland and I bought in July 2008, Z4M Coupé and I am very pleased with the car. During the winter, is also intended to buy VT2-VT1 ESS package for the car. Nice cars you have here, and lots of tips received for a car to the building. Especially VT ESS supercharger installed car experiences have been really interesting!

Really loud isnt it! Almost sounds like its dumping wastegate style :o

I like that some has commented 'hellafast', this new phrase seems to be popping up a lot lately, like hellaflush for the wheel fitment etc. Very American

That bedford back straight would certainly be over quick with that kind of pull :D

i actually dont like the blowoff sound to be honest........ it is actually a recirculating valve, that dumps back beofre the s/c, but its still alittle noisey as you can see!! revs like a beast tho!!!
