VT2 upgrade kit started :-)

andy on the following sunday after my install its an introduction to sprinting at curborough , which means the general public get to go on the track so ill be their later i think , ill pm you with details, whens the next midlands meet ill see if i can bring along the ///M.
 
Well after weeks of planning, stressing and everything in between my day has arrived, so Monday morning I'll be up at the crack of dawn to get my car to simpsons for 8.30am. The ownly downer is it's due to piss down all week. Gutted.

The Gen 1 kit doesn`t fit in the Z4 guys, I spoke to ESS about it a few weeks back. I was told that I could purchase the injectors and the ECU flash from the Gen 2 kit and it would run pretty well but there would still be some fittment issues to resolve.
 
mike im assuming the brackets are completly different, the supercharger itself looks different to mine also., after all fabrication costs you may as well just buy the real deal i suppose but................. its still tempting, im sure it could be done cheaply if you knew the right people.

well my day has finally arrived, a couple of days then ill be driving back in the pouring rain with 450bhp. lol!!

The blower itself is the same save for a more efficient impeller design(this can be fitted to the V2 too), just the newer V3 vortech has an internal oil system opposed to the older V2`s oil feed line. I think the bracket itself will have the same mounting holes, as the V1,V2, V3 and V7 are all interchangeable but ESS claim the new bracket is slightly thicker to make it more rigid. I was told the problem was with the intake piping route (I think the strut tower clearance is tighter compared to the M3) but I`m a bit confused myself as the CFR kits worked on both the M3 and Z4M (maybe ESS were just trying to push the new kit on me. :P ).

One thing I would do while yours is there, is ask Simpson to knock up an accelerator pedal cover (simillar to Ultimate pedals). Jullian made me one in about 5mins from some alloy plate and covered it in grip tape, makes heel toeing much easier as the pedals are rediculously far apart. :thumbsup:
 
The cars they have at simpsons blew me away, 2 f40s, 3 csls, gt3 race cars, amazing!!!!!

guys theyve got my camera!! lol ill ring them and ask me to send some pics, ive just spoken to them, they told me everythink is ok, no issues so far and........................................ the charger is on, full pics are being taken at every single step, sorry guys but your guna have to sit this out til i get my car and camera back later in the week. but the charger is on!!!!!! the suspense is killing me!!

lol i didnt really think to get pics with my iphone, just snapped with my camera!!! it was all abit of a rush as i had alot of questions plus my friend needed to get back to work, sorry guys ive let you all down. ;-) redemption is not far away tho!! lol!!
