VRSF downpipes worth it or not...?

Yes, keep me posted of the guy at ML, I looked yesterday and he’s stopped the VRSF as we know but if he can get them, great. Cheers mate. :thumbsup:
 
I really like the VRSF downpipes but I wasn't keen on the intercoolers for a few reasons.

The biggest downside of the VRSF ones is the couplers. You have to hack up your pipework and fit silicon elbows so there's no going back. You then have 4 hose clamps holding silicon pipe together which is an additional 2 points of failure. Another issue is that from what my friend told me about his 7.5" install, the VRSF silicon couplers will not fit a Z4 as the Z4 has a completely different chargepipe. Luckily he was able to have someone fabricate a new silicon tube.

There's an argument in favour of moving away from stock couplers to increase airflow but this only really materialises at much higher power levels. The outlets from the turbos are way more restrictive than the intercooler couplers and even those don't benefit from an upgrade until you fit upgraded turbos.
