Virus worries

Lockdown is here!

Except it isn't a lockdown  Jesus christ, so many dramatic people nowadays. You are allowed to go out to exercise once per day. That could be a 12 hour cycle ride...

Brilliant idea....a 12 mile bike ride, fall off, need an ambulance, go to A&E where you’ll be as welcome as a rattlesnake in a lucky dip....awesome.

I don't cycle, I hate cyclists  nothing stopping anyone from doing that though. They should've specified a time limit as people will take advantage.

Just seen a post by my local Police Force on Facebook, you won't believe that someone called 111 asking if they can still go to work as a window cleaner  lots of confusion with self employed people asking the police if they can go to work tomorrow

Well they’ll get either told to sod off home or fined if caught....the idea being at some point some common sense will start to break out amongst the population.......oh wait.....on second thoughts......

Exactly John. Common sense seems to be in short supply these days. These sheep need definitive orders on what they can/can't do. It's a sad state of affairs.

I popped to my local shop earlier at about 2:30pm for some veg and I saw a group of around 20 kids all congregating, having a laugh as if it was school holidays  they may as well have been in school as it would've made no difference. Their parents must be equally as stupid.

I seem to recall Boris stating that a period of exercise once a day outside included cycling.
Suggest you re-watch his statement from yesterday.

Yeah, but he also said no gatherings of more than 2. Last time I counted, 20 was indeed more than 2  it'll be on the dashcam so if I'm allowed to nip out to the car without being arrested, I could upload the footage.

I know, the media have gone full on crazy  I would call it a partial lockdown, which I believe BBC news have called it. Daily mail are still hysterical about it though.

Anyone got any theories on how the Germans seem to be keeping their death toll so low? I wondered if the virus is targeting certain races more than ota a death at The Ringhers? They did apparently get off on a good foot with testing, and they have oodles of hospitals, but even so, it's night and day compared to other countries.

It's rumoured that the German authorities keep the real death toll at The Ring artificially low by removing the injured from the circuit in ambulances so that if they die outside the facility, it isn't recorded as a death on track. I suspect that the Germans do a similar thing by recording all those whom die of Covid-19 with "underlying conditions" are recorded as dying of those underlying conditions rather than from Covid-19.

As for the high death rate in Italy: there's a suggestion that this is down to the strong Catholic faith which has sustained much intimacy amongst church congregations and permitted the virus to spread like wildfire in closely linked communities. Likewise, there has been very recent community spread in a church congregation in S Korea and amongst Turkish pilgrims to Mecca. Clearly a religious belief is no protection from nature's handiwork.

Retarded would be a fair description though sh1t for brains would be more accurate  bearing in mind there is much speculation that the boom in cases seen with Spain + Italy could well be traced back to a Champions league game on 19th Feb in Milan attended by 40,000 :o it would seem any get together now must be seen as stupidity .
Fast forward a week or so & we start seeing the bodies being carried out the door  that might just sharpen the focus for many who aren't currently following guidelines .

On the same Darwinisms, a friends daughter is a nurse at a private old peoples home. Now, I know Boris initially said about Mothers Day and seeing his, which was then 'rephrased' as being on Skype, but she had plenty of people turning up at the home wanting to see their mothers last Sunday. When they were refused entry by the staff, as the place was in lockdown, for obvious reasons, she said the staff were getting abusive language and shouted that 'the staff' were killing the people in the home
It seems that there are 'plenty' of selfish and thick people who 'really' don't get all this............
Saw a couple of people at a bus stop yesterday, who were laughing at looking at one of their phones and showing the other person

Seems to me a group of people getting together to say middle figure to Authoratism and don't tell us what to do so If we get together try and stop us.

By definition, half of the population have below average intelligence and it seems that the average intelligence is very low too. :(

Add to that there just seems to be a lacking in common sense these days I am not an intelligent person far from it thick as two short planks my dad use to say but I have the common sense to know that staying in where possible could save my life and the life of many others and the more people do this the quicker we get our lives back on track.
