That's what we were saying today, I bet tonnes of food will be binned in the end.
I went past a Tesco store at 06.30 this morning and was amazed to see the car park rammed with cars and vans, people coming out with trolleys piled high.
 
It' may not all be the hoarders. The re-supply chain is getting a hammering too. So with no hoarding at all many things will vanish from our shelves. The hoarders just add to the problem.

I see Sainsbury’s are opening up new Click & Collect points in their carparks for us old gits, with some sort of preference for us.

This preserves the self isolate concept.
 
Tesco’s today was half empty. The Tesco manager said that they resupply at night and open at 6am, this morning there were over 200 people waiting outside before 6am - by 6:30pm all the bread etc was gone!

I’m continuing with the assumption that this must stop at some point - there is no problem with supply, and these tw@ts can’t eat all the bread and crap quick enough and/or they must run out of money soon??? We shall have to see...
 
You’d think so wouldn’t you. However next thing will be the brain dead idiots will be stamping their feet and holding their hands out wanting cash from the government to fuel their cars to take all the rotten unused out of date food to the tip.... :x

I am a night manager for a very large retailer,i wouldnt like to comment on the some of the customer base at the moment..
What i will say is your correct we are receiving pretty much the usual size deliveries into our stores,other than some lines that have been bought to the extreme ie antibacterial products,wipes handwash etc,but with regards to feeding everyone it would not be an issue at all if people bought only what they need.
If my grammer is not up to standards please excuse me as ive had a pretty s**t night and morning as have my colleagues ,working hard to keep the stock available whilst trying to remain calm when some people think its ok to swear and shout at us because he cant have 4 tins of beans when the restriction is 3,even tho he has enough to feed a small village in his garage.
Ok rant over.

I've heard a few people panic buying FREEZERS now, I'm genuinely embarrassed to share the same planet as these mouth breathers.

Looks like my work is shutting down as of Monday, just had to make sure all my details are correct. Will be confirmed tomorrow. Massive global vehicle company, so I guess they had no other choice.

Couldn't have timed it better for myself as I've just had 3 weeks off (baby arrived), so I took my 2 weeks parental leave and 1 week annual leave, now I'm possibly off work for another month! Good thing I get full pay minus shift allowance, else I'd be buggered with the measly SSP of £90 odd a week.
 
Work colleagues elderly mother was in Tescos earlier and was shoved to the floor and virtually trampled over , which reduced her to tears. No one wanted to help as they were all in it for themselves. I do wonder about how selfish and self centered society is currently :cry:
 
A woman in the local Lidl was told she could only have 3off each item - she asked for 3x boxes of wine ! After a swift rebuttal, she got her 3 bottles!

I think ration books would be appropriate.
 
Diane (Mrs FB) read out a brilliant idea on faceache this morning. Shops should chain up their shopping trolleys and allow shoppers to use one hand basket only.
What a bloody great idea :thumbsup:

On the fence with this one... I'm seeing so many people going the the shop every day... not exactly social distancing. I can quite happily do our shop as normal (not buying anything extra than we usually do) and then not need to go for well over a week. Surely that is better in order to keep infection rates down? Shopping every day just increases the risk.
