We will have to keep washing our hands!

It’s sad that the authorities have had to remind the public to wash their hands frequently - I thought that was basic personal hygiene in any case?

Unfortunately not Ron, I feel people have become too complacent in our modern germ free world, one could argue hygiene was worse years ago but I think people back then took personal hygiene as a given. I'm amazed at work how often I see people exit the toilet and walk straight out without even a glance at the tap :cry:

get yourself a "hawf boattle" First perfectly into your back pocket :rofl:

I worked in a pub in Glasgow where it was on the gantry, classy establishment :cheers: hawf boattle perfect for getting into football and music events, worked as a door/event staff too in my younger days

@ronk don’t, it’s howling :cpilot: :rofl:

Wasn't Nice and Sleazy was it?

No, wasn’t anywhere near as classy as that, it was The Glaswegian on Bridge St in the Gorbals :o don’t think it’s there anymore.

An absolute eye opener, heaving full of women from11 until about 3 then they went home to collect kids/make the tea then their husbands who appeared in straight from finishing work, home for aforementioned tea then back in the pub by 6;30 until closing. Same routine everyday. Was like the Wild West, particularly at the weekend when as a treat to the wife they were allowed to tag along too on a Saturday afternoon until about 5 :rofl: :rofl:

Used to work on the door across from Nice n Sleazy reasonably regularly in The Garage and just along the road at the Stakis Casino next to the Mitchell Library

I frequented the Cathouse too for a few years, in the original in Brown St and Union St. Gave up when they started letting in people with trackies on and playing Ska music

Haha, I think I was just a couple of years too young for Brown Street. Ever go to The Arena on Oswald Street?

A wee bit after my time, you missed the pleasure of me escorting you in politely and an outside chance of escorting you out not so politely, I always left that choice up to the punters :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

I've witnessed many a work colleague use the urinals and exit without even touching a tap :headbang: it's absolutely disgusting and always the same people that do it.

To prevent the spread of germs, people who need to sneeze are advised to do so into their upper arm. People have instead, started stock piling toilet paper. This confirms the long standing belief that too many people don't know their arse from their elbow...

:lol: :thumbsup:

Bad news, flight to Madeira next Friday cancelled by Jet 2. Good news, there will be a full refund. There are currently no cases of the Corona Virus on the island and the government has decided the best way to keep it that way is to quarantine any visitors for 14 days. So airlines are cancelling all holiday holiday flights into Funchal. We are booked to go again in November. Hopefully things will have improved by then.

Time to bring these back :?

Tim.
Sadly I can remember them when they were last used. Born at the end of the War I remember looking longingly in sweet shop widows but my parents not having the necessary points to make a purchase. On one occasion I found myself in serious trouble for giving the weekend roasting joint the purchase of which had used up all the meat points for the week, to a starving stray dog. My parents were not amused. :roll:
