VANOS

I know you don’t mind firebobby was just making point regarding posts have a great Christmas mate

I'm glad that's all cleared up and everyone knows what's what, there's a difference between earning a few quid here and there and going full commercial, endorsements are ok too as long as they're genuine, we all like to know who's doing a good job

Is it too late to advertise my SMART Repair business

Ed , a "business" involves working mate  as in actually doing something other than volleyball , drinking tea or sleeping in   :poke: :D

Wow that was all a little intense. Good call from the mod. Having a section specific to member's services ( couldnt come up with anything that didnt sound wrong :o ) is a good idea and will make finding things a little easier.
Merry xmas guys.

But was that actually suggested by a mod? I don't think so, and I don't see how having such a section still wouldn't go against forum rules if advertising of services goes on there? Or am I missing something here?

It was suggested by Spectre Tom, the owner of the site

Each of them can have a post in the forum discount section, no problem with that. That way people looking for the service has access to a list of them, along with location and price.

Ah ok, you mean the forum discount section. I thought it implied some kind of new section. Got it.

What I suggested was that each member offering a service can add the (hopefully discounted) price to the discount section. They get one thread each and people can post their thank you's on that thread. Those threads also won't appear on the new topics list so we won't end up with a clutter of threads as we do now. It will also mean that people actively looking for a service will be able to see the feedback on the thread without irritating everyone else.

Yes, this does mean that there will be a small amount of commercialness allowed, but let's face it that was happening anyway, hopefully this will keep it in the right section and there will be a whole lot less bumping going on.

BTW, I made an update to the commercial posting rules:
