This one is probably good to note. 3.8kgs including wrapping and cardboard. rear hatch window. original is close to 8kgs, (which is still very light, lighter than i would have thought as the frikking tail gate is really bloody heavy.) so this is less than half its weight when the cardboard/wrapping is removed.

Keen eyes might spot the pax side window slider lying on the lounge...
Windows.

Did some work, that I've put off for a while as it sucks, but got stuck into it anyways. So the whole side combo set is now held on solidly by visibly only one bolt.. (there are 3 in actual fact, but only one visible) pretty darn chuffed with that.

Solid as a rock...

Great work! And good quality stuff you get..
I wonder since that rear hatch swap, about the balance front/rear, have you checked it lately?
(And what is it as std..? I know BMW claim its 50/50 but I have a hard time believing it)

Thanks Arg, No idea at this stage about the balance, but it's gonna be light, that's fer sure.

Custom brake booster delete kit just arrived.

New lightweight cabin blower just arrived. 235 CFM. 4 inch low noise. Gotta have something for screen de-misting. And a bit of airflow in the car will be most welcome.

...and there’s me thinking it was an electric supercharger from eBay/AliExpress :P

Oh, don't worry, it'll do dubble duty as that too.. just gotta install one of those truck gear splitter buttons like in mad Max. :)

Lol , pretty much whatever doesn't need to be there is getting the toss.

Did some work today...

Finally cut the uprights.

Do the uprights fit to the boot floor? They are going to need some serious bracing if not  love it!

The uprights dont fit all the way to the boot floor as then it would be impossible to open the boot. Flossman has (on my request) pre-cut the sleaves and slots for the wing. They have also inserted their re-inforcement panels in the insert and reaches to the bottom of the boot lid. . Its actually very nicely done and no way in hell i would have been able to do that myself, as this is done during the layup so that it becomes part of the boot lid structure.. to say its solid is an understatment and a testament to how flossman's quality has shone through this kit from the beginning. (pictures i will take when i get around to mounting it properly, its just taped in atm to see what it would look like/how ill fix it.) Pretty glad really that i asked them to do it as otherwise the boot lid just comes as a blank..

but yeah, its gonna need to be strong.. the wing is big..

its this GT2 wing...

Test fitted the wing today.. thought it was going to be super wide at 180cm, but it's Def not too wide..

Yep..

This pic also shows that I fitted the dash back in, although it has to come out again untill the cage is painted. Mirrors frikking tiny, but looks very mean when on the car. I test fitted those on the upper door yesterday before heading off to Geneva. I'll probably drill in the door to socket and weld the mount in from the underside, that would be much much cleaner..and I would think stronger too. At any rate, lots going on. Apperently the new springs are arriving today at DriftHQ, and they will ship them together with the missing upper control arm parts. I ordered a set of helper springs/spring seats too, just to keep the flange in place when there is no load.

Not shown on this pic are the front and left guard mounting brakets i fabricated last week. it really is sold as a rock now as the original guards attatched at the front where the lights attach, but as these are much wider there, there is no OEM mounting point. There is now. :coffee:
Estetically were getting there slowly... Then it's mechanical and tuning.. man, were a long way from home...

Looking epic!! What you going to do for the arch liners? Does the kit come with some?

Looks absolutely mental in these pics!

Not sure if you’ve mentioned it already but have you decided on a colour?
