so when i change the V belt ( serpentine) and ac belt i also need to change the tensioner pulley , idle pulley and tensioner pulley from AC right?
azazelus said:So exactly what pulley do i need to change?
Idle pulley
Tensioner Pulley from Drive belt
Tensioner pulley from Ac
The guy on the phone said there are 5 of them ( pulleys ). So which three should i change to be safe?
So should i change the entire tensioner mechanism or just the pulley ( wheel ) ???
Also the guy on the phone said the price of 300 includes only the pulleys not the entire mechanism from tensioner.

So all the work can be done from underneath the car? The idle pulley and the tensioner is quite on the upper part. I think i need to remove the radiator cover as well. I dont think i can access the pulley from underneath the car ( only the AC one ). I will have a look again.
The car has 80 k miles now. i dont think anyone changed the belt or the tensioner till now.
The V belt has small cracks in it. Not to big but many cracks. I am using the car around 70 miles per day.
Theres one in the How too  'sazazelus said:thanks a lot. i am trying to change this myself but i cannot find a good guide.
