Still not working with the V25!

I bought my 2012 plus v32 firmware upgrade disc from Rusty for £25 and worked perfect first time. All you do is pop the disc in, screen will go blank for a while then when it comes back on a few minutes later, you click ok and job done.

I just upgraded my maps to 2013 as it is on a single layer DVD so read better and faster.

I'm having trouble getting it to read the firmware CDs. Nothing happens when I put the type of CD in.

I have read the post and what I should have explained is that the problem might not lie with your disc or the way you are burning it, DVD lasers can get damaged over time and they fail to read as good as they once did (hence why on some units only OEM discs will work) so if you get a guaranteed to work V32 disc from a reputable source for a tenner and then that doesn't work, you know for sure it is your head unit at fault.

Then as a further suggestion, the head units read duel layer discs after the update but again, depending on the condition of the laser, may not be as good as it once could have been so if the update does eventually work, I suggest you get the 2013 disc as it is a single layer disc that shouldn't give read problems is your laser condition is less than perfect.
