I don't believe the 'truck broken down' story, oldest excuse in the book

Even if it was , surely another transporter would be brought in to forward on the cars and shouldnt take 4 days.

I aint buying that story either - most dealers would surely get cars that are due for delivery to customers 24 hours ahead of delivery to make sure all is well !
Sounds very suspect.
Not good !
Not neccessarily - given this info if they were hoping to get the car delivered and turned around for you in a day then any sort of delivery hitch could cause a knock on effect meaning missing the 5 oclock deadline.pritchp said:Jasey said:I'll tell you one thing - go over that car with a fine tooth comb when you do pick it up !

It was agreed that I would get the car the car the same day it arrived due to me being out of the country and it was meant to arrive today and I would collect today.
Great, so thoughts are its been delivered and badly damaged?

So they can surely lend you a nice toy over the weekend on their insurance -tell them you had planned to take SWMBO away somewhere special with arrival of new car and shes absolutely gutted like you
If they cant do that tell them they can pay half for said weekend instead -300 squid sounds about right i would say
Be firm and tell them how gutted both you and SWMBO are and they need to make it up to you now
