Howlin Wolf
Miles Davis
Oscar Peterson
Coltrane
Buddy Guy-- just to name a few
And of, course, I like to rock with the The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Elton John, Beatles, Dire Straits -all good.
My iPod library's playlists at the moment:
(1) Avril Lavigne - The Best Damn Thing
(2) Duffy - Rockferry

(4) The Lord of the Rings - Soundtracks
(5) 28 tracks from various artists (inc. Robbie Williams, Take That, Shakira)
I'd seriously reccomend 'Does It Offend You Yeah?' All the songs are different and theres some really good driving music on the album. Also, Incubus are a brilliant band - anything by them is good in the car
Jay-Z... nice! I have about 4/5 of his on the car iPod. Need to buy the Linkin Park album again.
Lupe Fiasco... Food and Liquor or The Cool? Both great!
Kanye... all of them in the car.
Which Common? I'm still loving (going back to) Be and Finding Forever! Universal Mind Control is good though.
Along those lines - recently discovered Danger Mouse and Jemini, Ghetto Pop Life which is awesome and recently bought again, Joe Budden (self titled album)
Also have Jamiroquai, Dynamite and Prodigy, Invaders Must Die (in current rotation).
I've got a couple of cds of songs that i put on when I'm in the mood for a drive. many of the tracks have already been mentioned above buth those that haven't
