Ultimate driving music! What's your favourite?

I have a 3 hour drive ahead of me on Saturday and I am actually really excited as its my first proper trip in my Z4 (sad but true). However, I know that the radio is going to bore me to tears after an hour. I want to know peoples favourite driving songs! Not just for the country roads but for longer dual carriageway driving as well!

My list has the usual, Golden Earing - Radar Love etc etc but a friend recommened a new one by Wolfmother - Joker and the Thief, and it has inspired me to ask my fellow Z4 drivers for your opinions!

Anything from Vanilla Ice (if this floats your boat??) to Carl Orff - O Fortuna!

That's the one I was thinking of... Bobbydm, I searched for 'Credence Clearwater Revival' as I know that was one of mine (and unlikely to bring up other search hits!). I thought any search for classic tracks would include at the very least the word 'credence'!

(TBH I can rarely find anything either  )

I think I'll try searching a bit harder next time... will try out 'Credence Clearwater Revival' though! I had completely forgotten The Cult, She Sells Sanctuary until seeing the top 5 list so it was worth the post just for that!

i actually burnt that entire list out to several cds and gave it a listen (in the order posted).
quite an interesting mix...

Depends if you like your electro, but I'm in love with Chris Lake's new album - absolutely top notch and great up loud when hitting the rev limiter in 3rd

Ocean Colour Scene - Hundred Mile High City

Personally i would go for the OCS song "get away" off Moseley Shoals. A 6 minute modern classic (towards the later part of the song anyway)

Who names their album "HAS BEEN" PMSFL

Furthermore, what kind of picture is that to put on the front of the album :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

I am assuming my taste in music is very different to yours, but there's nothing better than driving along to anything by The Prodigy or Marilyn Manson at full blast and giving it some :driving:

I'm liking Paramore at the minute too.

I have very eclectic taste.... and hence The Prodigy - Breathe is now on my list!! I have to admit I like Marilyn Manson - Tainted love (great video) but I don't own it!

Mr Shatner has not made the list quite yet!

Paramore are great - I am actually listening to Roit! right now! lol
Prod.. MM... all good too :)

In the car, I have:

front cd: Paramore - all we know is falling
changer 1: Ministry of Sound Mashups 2009 cd1
changer 2: Dizzee Rascal - Tongue n Cheek
changer 3: Nickelback - Dark Horse
changer 4: System of a Down - Toxicity
changer 5: Atreyu - Congregation of the Damned
changer 6: Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here

so it's fair to say I have a broad musical taste :P
