Honestly mate, I may give the impression that I poodle around in an energy efficient car but the reality is that I drive a 2 year old 6 cylinder 5 Series BMW most of the time and my previous cars have been 2 R8's, a series 2 911 C2S, Z4 and many other sports cars. I love to drive fast but feel like many others do, that something has to be done to eliminate the old bangers who do most of the pollution in the cities. Most of these guys don't give a s**t about pollution and I have met a few as I laid down in front of their vans in protest. (No that's not true, I just made that up as a joke, how do I delete it?)TitanTim said:

Depends what you mean by old bangers though? I would agree, there is probably an age band of cars maybe over 10 years but less than 15 years old that are poorly maintained, running around with no MOT, but would properly well mainted classics that are probably still a minority of cars on the road be that polluting? I reckon it's vehicles such as diesel HGVs, busses, vans that are biggest polluters in towns etc than your Sunday driver in their TR6.
Of course you know where Audi stole their flat bottomed sterring wheel idea from for the R8,

So my old E46 325ti with the M54 engine just scraped under the 0.08g limit for NOX at 0.079!
But my current E90 with the N52 is right down at 0.025. That's a huge reduction.
Although my MC is not quite as good at 0.064g. :lol:
