It's to do with the fact that it's a diesel, I think it would need to be newer than September 2015 to comply.Lynchy said:Just had a letter through the door saying our 2011 123d coupe isn’t compliant with the ULEZ. This would usually be a problem but we no longer live in the South so we can continue to enjoy this car. Can someone explain to me why this is the case. Is it because it’s Diesel and of a certain age or based on emissions as I really don’t understand.

Not quite sure what the difference is bit I'm sure the ulez system is based on not emissions and not co2.Mr Tidy said:Lynchy said:Just had a letter through the door saying our 2011 123d coupe isn’t compliant with the ULEZ. I had a 123d until I got my first Z4 - they're great little cars.![]()
Trouble is that while they are Euro IV diesels need to be Euro VI to comply with the ULEZ whereas petrols only need to be Euro IV. I think the difference isn't related to CO2 emissions but the particulates that diesels produce.
Well the LEZ scheme was launched in Glasgow on the 1st June... of the 1,615 vehicles owned by Glasgow City council, 616 are non-compliant meaning they are no longer allowed inside the council's new LEZ. You would think they would of checked, so replacement compliant vehicles will need to be leased / bought and who picks up the bill.Nictrix said:The whole thing across the country is a joke.
This is local Govt; of course they wouldn't!Zed Baron said:You would think they would of checked,
