UK Track day

I am thinking of sorting out a track day specially for Z4 forum members and friends. It will be a good opportunity for everyone to meet up, show off Zeds and driving skills or in my case the lack of on a track. You can even take up the opportunity to show off your cup holders.....which seem to be subject to alot of attention on the forums recently!!! (OMG what is going on?!?!)

Can you please reply with interest so i can see if it is viable and include county where the track is located.

I personally am up for Brands Hatch, Kent

Croft would be better :P

And my cup holders are better than yours :poke: you can't hit your knees on mine

Would have to wait until the weather gets a bit better, along with my bank statements :|

I'm in - March on? Brands Goodwood for southerners. I'd go to Oulton or Snett if we can agree a central point for both North ans South.

Going to be around July/August time...maybe we can look at some midland uk tracks and then we can have a north/south race too!!!

I dont have any cup holders...trying to keep the overal weight of the car down you see! lol

I might invest in a couple though and remove the engine as its very heavy :D

I've never been but could do with seeing from others how to push the car

How much do you expect it to cost and how long do we get?

Not completely sure about the prices yet as track to track differs...just type in track days into a search engine and your off. I was thinking of a couple of hours of driving but again open to suggestions. We might be able to get a discount if we go as a large group

I'll be up for it once I put the car back together again. Just gotta find a few £££ to rebuild various things after this years track wear and tear. Silverstone is my favourite venue but I'm happy to travel!

Despite all the wear and tear my cupholders are still hanging in there!!

I'd be interested, Brands being the nearest to me. I have no obvious driving skills but as yet unused cup holders.

So far
1 x Brands
2 x Croft
1 x Silverstone

Need more interest thought so keep it coming

6 possibles so far

Up for it too.. Midlands / London based..

Bedford is a good day to go to, as there's no barriers and great run off areas - great for beginners! :)

Done that though, so if it's elsewhere i'm up for a new challenge! :)

I look at:

fall6997, edit your post to include a poll and a list of track locations in the UK, and the public can decide. I won't take my beastie on the track 'cos it's an automatic boulevard cruiser  but will go to meet/watch others

I'm up for it.

Done a few sessions t Goodwood and Silverstone in my old 240z Samarai.
Might even get BMW to subsidise that one too.

Regards

Sceptre.

PS - I like the cup holders when using cans. Bit of splash but you should have seen the Saab 95 convertible for hazardous cup holders. They would soak the radio to destruction.
I also have one of the 'ultimate' holders that fits under your left knee for heavier / larger bottles.

I could be up for it - anywhere in the south. Not really fussed about waiting for spring - as good a chance of a nice dry day in the winter as the "summer". If you do wait until then though Brands do evenings which could work quite well.

I am up for it. Never done a track day before so probably an extreme lack of driving skill but you have to start somewhere... I am Hampshire based just now but willing to travel to a central location if it suits everyone better and the price is right!

Im with wondermike, might come watch/meet up but not drive after my first recent track day experience which ended in the barriers :o wouldn't like my car to end up the same...

Don't mind where as long as it ain't too far to drive :D

Count me in. Rockingham is a good track too, and fairly central. I'm chucking mine round Donington on the 16th Nov..............wish me luck LOL. :driving:
