TTS Roadster

Well, first problem with the TTs…. Bonnet release catch snapped off, very common problem, cheap fix, just a tad annoying

How did you manage to paint a wall on the side of your car?
Can you keep a secret?…..

Barking maybe
Not a big fan of Essex
It's still hotly contested, but Barking stopped being in Essex in 1965, it is part of the Barking & Dagenham borough of London. They have red buses and share an underground system with the rest of London. Sorry! The car is looking really good. What coating did you use?

Thank you, it’s CarPro CQ.UK 3.0 - not cheap, but relatively easy to apply if you have a garage you can let it cure in - much cheaper than paying a pro to do it though.

I’ve spotted a couple of high spots, look like oily smudges, so I’ll get the nano polisher out and remove them, re-coat those bits.

To be honest, Ceramic is overhyped, it’s pretty easy to polish it back off and it will still mar and pick up swirls with a poor wash technique.

I have used Kamikaze ISM on my last 4 cars and I have been very impressed with the performance. It is extremely expensive and I wash very carefully. I have never seen any sign of marring on any of the coatings, although I did put some on the rear window by mistake. It polished off but was not easy to remove (which is good I suppose).

To be fair, I’m careful with mine too. It’s a lot of effort got get to this stage and then ruin it again!

I’m talking more generally about people who pay for ceramic coatings and then moan about the fact they’ve got marring and swirls coming back as result of the (generic) East European hand car wash they frequent!

Did you polish off the window by hand or by machine? I wouldn’t try and polish any ceramic coating off by hand

Polished by machine with medium pad.

Maybe it’s harder to remove from glass, I wouldn’t be surprised… not exactly an experiment I want to try on purpose though :D

The TTS is looking good 👍 I was starting to look for one but the more time I spend with the Edition 35 the more I like it 😂 Still got an itch for a TTS though… decisions decisions 😂

What happened there? :o
What's next? EDIT... just saw your wanted ad for an E85

Short version, considering upgrading my partners car and keeping less £’s in the weekend toy.

Also I bought it at a great price, then got it to 9/10 standard and sold it slightly below current market levels quickly - I’m very happy, buyer was very happy

I have to say, it was brilliant…. But my Mrs wanted to drive it all the time
