Great looking TTS and a really nice colour. Looking forward to seeing the results of your fettling. What happened to your VO E89?

Well, my Mrs was too scared to drive it, long bonnet, low driving position and it ‘feels really wide’... so after much deliberation, we decided to sell after all and buy a 4 seater. You’d already committed to your mineral grey one at this point.

It sold within 24hrs of listing a classified add on EBay, for a fair, but more market relative, price. Lovely couple from Cardiff, think it’s going to be a daily driver... they were smitten with it

We then sat together for hours looking at 4 seaters trying our hardest to get excited, and couldn’t!......
I must say I thought you had under priced it a bit when you put your ad up on here. Great to hear its gone to my side of the bridge and will keep my eyes peeled for it. I am in the same camp as you regarding four seater convertibles. Enjoy the TTS.

Well, I’ve started a bit of fettling this afternoon :)

Terrible photo quality, but good enough to see the swirl removal...

Before (swirlier than a very swirly thing)

Big difference there in the before and after pics :D

Thanks, yes.... I was only intending to do a small ‘test patch’.... got into it & corrected the whole bonnet

May as well do the rest of the car now :D

Well, I’ve been really busy with work and other stuff since picking up this car, but found some time for some fettling this weekend. New front discs and pads fitted… brakes so much better now. Previous owner had new Brembo pads fitted with old discs and the combo wasn’t great. Now running O.E. Textar and it’s miles better, still got the rears to do.

Broke out the trusty DA and started to do some more paint correction…

Long time no see sir - hope everything is good.

Thats TT does look good for an Audi :poke:

Yes all good, my Mrs treatment has so far been incredibly effective, but it leaves her feeling awful for ten days (pretty much non-functional) then semi-functional for few days and then relatively normal for a week… then starts all over again as Chemo is every 3 weeks. But she’s holding up

It’s not bad for a Golf R in a dress is it

I’m between Bristol and Bath, so miles away I’m afraid. Also, it takes me hours as I like to take my time… don’t have the speed (or desire) to do it for a living… I’d be tempted to do a few local cars (maybe) but I definitely need a new longer throw DA. In addition, it seems there are loads of people offering machine polishing on Facebook marketplace for not very much money… no idea how good a job they’d do though :?

Glad everything is going well - chemo is not nice at all but hopefully it works fully.

Better than a cavalier in a fancy frock for certain :D
