TTS Roadster

Was sitting beside one the exact same in traffic and the colour is very nice.

Said to my OH, who is a hairdresser, what do you think of that, she said it’s not chunky enough so you’re safe, you don’t need your hairdryer and tongs as it’s obviously not just a hairdressers car

This is of course the same person who won’t drive the Zed as she says it frightens her and she prefers getting driven around

Phew!...

Mrs is taking it out tomorrow to take her mum for lunch I think, she’d never have done that in any of the Zed’s as she struggled with the low driving position and long bonnet.

She seems excited about taking it out, not scared, so that’s brilliant

Glad she is happy to drive it - makes the switch worth while, mine won't drive the Zed either but then again I don't mind as I love driving it

Moving to the Dark Side... after 6 Z4’s

Picking up a Sprint Blue TTS Quattro roadster later today. 2 owners from new... I have my hair dryer & tongs ready :D

We were looking for 4 seaters, but neither of us could get excited about any of them and didn’t want to risk an old M3.

Partner happy driving a TT as shorter bonnet than a Z4 and driving position is a little more upright also.

It’s mechanically great, but needs a little TLC with roof cleaning, body work etc.

Very nice, looks darker than sprint blue. May be the shade though.

Surely that is why you need to keep a Z4 (for yourself)!

And get a TT for the Mrs!

Interesting, car was advertised as sprint blue... but you might be right, wondering if it’s Scuba Blue... I’ll double check the paint code in the morning

EDIT - actually, car was simply advertised as blue... I’ve just presumed Sprint Blue, it is a gorgeous colour :)

I’ve really enjoyed my TTS. Great daily driver, interior is lovely and it’s certainly quicker than my Z4M was.

Owned it for nearly 3 years now so time for a change.

Interesting.... no colour code on the sticker in the boot... so it’s not Sprint Blue and is an ‘individual order’ apparently?

It’s a lovely colour, whatever colour it is

Off to email Audi

Only have garage space for one toy car, she needs a four seater for daily duties.

Still no idea... but can’t keep the Mrs out of it, just been to Tesco’s as passenger... she was grinning all the way there and back, the mag-ride suspension is superb

well that's job done then, now go to the pub and she drives and yes that is a great option but pray it does not fail as it will cost :(

Well True-Blue looks like I will be following you down the same path but I am going for a coupe but I have a feeling my wife will want to drive the Audi because she couldn’t get to grips with low seating position and long bonnet of the Z4........I dread to think of the kerb rash that will be heading my way😩

Re the Mag Ride, if it does fail I’ll just go down the KW Coilover - Mag Ride delete route. I’ve been to see my paint guy and have a date booked in to sort the cosmetic paint required, so that’s great.... I can’t polish paint back on where it’s missing

Even taking into account the paint costs and replacing the mag-ride (if it becomes an issue) this is still a bargain TTS. The interior has come up like new, delighted with it. Going to start some paint correction over the weekend.

Happy so far

Wow.. the ED35 didn’t last long.

My Mrs is loving driving the TT... and she’s not a hairdresser either
