Modern chargers such as CTEK won't 'spike' electronics... they're all fancy 'soft start' systems and won't even supply current unless their monitoring systems detect that they are connected to the correct battery terminals...Dav the wheel nut said:srhutch said:Considering most batteries in the engine bay giving no choice to most along with potential petrol fumes, I can't see why you wouldn't connect straight the the battery in the boot. The connections under the bonnet are supressed so there is no chance of spiking the electronics.
or if your going to inspect it after its been on for a night or any length of time that using a naked flame is the quickest way to get rid of all the out gassed hydrogen
