Haven't noticed any panic buying in this area yet *touch wood. I can't believe how the price of unleaded has shot up the last 2/3 weeks. It was about 134.9p per litre in the cheap Esso in Marlow before. Argh

That's where I get my petrol from - amazed never spotted you there! Will keep them peeled from now on

Me too...At least I did a few years ago when I still lived at home. Of course that was before I had a car that has a thirst for Shell V Power :evil:

I went "panic" buying the day strikes were voted for. I will keep my tank above 1/2 until the threat is over.

The problem is that it's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Once everyone starts to fill up in case they run out...they run out!

The thing is...are you going to que and refill your car every day? are you going to leave your car parked up with a full tank? Or are you just going to keep your car a little fuller than normal? If everybody filled their tanks yesterday, surely the majority of folk wont need petrol for a few days anyway..so maybe there will now be a drop in demand?

Report from my work colleague who just got back from a site visit: panic-buying has kicked off spectacularly here. 3+ local garages she tried around Falkirk are completely out of diesel and there's long queues at others. Doesn't affect me today as I cycle to work, but my wife's struggling having a diesel car and a requirement to get to work (A+E doctor). Hopefully this will all settle down otherwise they're going to have to prioritise who gets the fuel...

Think I've got 1/3 of a tank in the Z4 which pretty much renders it useless, and approx 1/2 tank in the van. F**king fantastic.
