Turns out we aren't going now as this is what happened to him at Silverstone last Sunday.

Lifted off on the corner and over steered, hitting the wall. Himself and the passenger are ok, the car was sold to a salvage company the same day...No track day insurance.
Common place at Oulton for an off, as there's a small crest as you straighten the car up after the double-apex corner. If you get on the power early you've got to be ready for it to twitch/snap.flimper said:This one tickled meComments disabled for the video, I wonder why!

Track Guide said:Keeping to the left and braking in a straight line for Druids the turn point is the seam that runs across the track. Now, there are two ways to deal with Druids, depending on your car. The first is to ignore the first apex and aim solely for the second one. The other way is to take both the first and second. This depends on your car and setup. From the second apex, let the car run out, but be very careful with the throttle application, as many a driver have fallen foul of the exit kerb and crest just on the exit of the corner.
People don't think about it but taking one hand off the wheel has a massive impact on your ability to control the car. One reason I decided to go for a DCT/Auto car this time round.Nictrix said:I assume in the vid right before he loses it he is telling his co-pilot which way the road goes?
He has his right hand off the wheel as if he is describing the track layout.
