Track alloys / tyres suggestions + advice

I got a decent deal from a chap on Cutters for the alloys and tyres as a package.
HTC 198 alloys, look a bit CSL like without the concave, but mainly they only weigh around 8.5kg each which is a decent weight saving plus freshly refurbed. Just got to get them fitted and try and get somewhere before winter hits!

Nice! Cup 2 a good shout I'd agree for the usage.
That's a weeeney weight too, impressive, lets hope they stand up to abuse. I've managed to bend two out of 10 arc-8s so far... 😕 They recently released a fully forged version which i may consider next time it happens but they are $$€¥€$

Hope so mate! Cup 2's weren't my first choice but had a deal I couldn't refuse, bit like the AP's I didn't take like a muppet! Might be following you down the BTCC route though when funds allow.
Jeez you love breaking parts :lol: I'm some way off your skill level so should last me a while with any luck. I could do without any extra cost for at least a few years in any case! You think it's just the weight of the car which is causing you issues now?

Nope, just being a muppet.
But they are not as strong as one(I) might have thought. Plenty of similar failures out there, but probably driven by other mupppets so :wink:

Stay on the black stuff, helps with not breaking things :D

(I should add I've out-braked myself a few times already, only through the grace of being on an airfield I got away with it!)
 
Don't really think it matters that much which tire your going for in the upper cost section, you'll shred em in 3 sessions anyways, unless your on slicks and then heat cycles come into play. Sadly it's probably the most expensive part of the fun. :lol:

I'd look at the cheaper nankang. :thumbsup:
