Toy gone another toy bought

This is really a follow up thread to one that I posted about 3 months ago showing a friends new toy. I couldn't find the original due to not remembering what I'd wrote (symptom of a misspent youth). I'll probably run these threads every once in a while as he changes his car a lot and it's really just an excuse for sharing some pics and his thoughts on some really great cars that plebes like me will never own

Anyway. The Scud.

Has gone.

The verdict was that it felt like it was going to brake every time it was driven, it just seemed very fragile. However, the biggest issue was the brakes, they just don't work (as you can see they are tiny) without enough heat in them and you can't get heat into them on normal road driving unless you left foot brake on the straights. Supposedly there were a few hairy moment when the brakes were needed but just weren't there until this was discovered.

Now replaced with some good old Pork.

He is so much happier in the GT3. He says it suits his driving style so much better, it can be thrown about and it just feels solid.

Edit: there was enough money left in the car fund from the sale of the Ferrari to get this as well

Cracking photos thanks for sharing! the gt3 is such a great allrounder our old neighbour had one & he loved his.

I love the fezza he is a lucky guy to experience such awesome motors, I will have to continue to live life in the slow lane :(

The GT3 feels like it's driving on fly paper. You really can take corners at incredible speeds with absolutely no body roll what so ever or even the slightest waiver in confidence. It's also slightly more sufferable as an every day car when compared to the GT3RS. The only thing that lets the experience down slightly is the noise. It's not bad but it's just not as symphonic as even an ///M car. I've felt the same about every Porsche I've ever been in/driven so maybe it's just me.

Pretty much. We are off down to Carlisle in the GT3 next weekend to pick up an M135i for an extended test drive. It's amazing what garages will let you borrow for a weekend if you show up in something really expensive  Especially if they have your name on their database as buying from them before.

Given the option I think I'd put up with the Ferrari. Just shows you can't just go by the look of a car. You need to drive them!

One of the good things about Porsche though. They really are the "Mondeo" of supercars! Not only do they perform like a supercar, you can also use them to do the shopping and school run!

If I ever get enough money together to buy/run a Fezza, I so hope I don't think it's crap after 6 months. That would be a life long dream shattered.

It was his boyhood dream as well. He's happy he did it.

Doubt he'll fit one as the Porsche warranty wouldn't allow it. With the standard exhaust it sounds good outside, the problem is that it sounds pretty rubbish inside.
