Top Gear new series

Actually laughed quite a lot tonight. Funny car chase piece and good Sunday entertainment.

WTF was that sweeney article all about?.Complete and utter pish   .That has got to be one of the worst top gear episodes i have ever had the misfortune to watch. They need to stop all this stupid challenges and get back to testing cars.
Rant over :) :) :)

R U something to do with TG?
Sort of, but still very objective and as a car nut, want it to work rather than blindly saying or believing it does :)

As a format it's become over the years, a family entertainment show around the theme of cars. The sheer number of people that tune in and watch, book themselves onto a 2 year audience waiting list or watch old repeats 3 or 4 times on DAVE shows it still brings something to the party.

Yeah it can be a bit hit and miss, yeah it can feel over rehearsed, but I'd still rather watch a bad TG than a good 5th Gear.

+1

Last night's started well, I laughed at them giving a Nurgburgring edition for James May to review. The Sweeney thing though is the closest I've ever been to switching off and finding something more interesting to do. Terrible one last night - Hammond's OTT clowning around was grating. I think he was confused what he was turning up to film, Top Gear or Wipeout.

The car chase could of been a really good thing if done properly with the insight of how they do it ,instead we got a carry on sweeney, crap and not that entertaining.Lets hope next weeks better.

Loved the Ferrari FF vs Bentley Bit ...... pity the FF looks to have been a bit of a let down .... still like the look of it.

Ferrari piece -
News, Guest -
Mobility scooters -

Second week in a row I've turned it off before the end :(

Agree.
Would have like to have heard more about that Swedish circuit/proving ground, it's history, formation, use etc. And would have been interesting to see the same laps at silverstone for direct comparison and a ratio difference for each car

think this is the place ... read about it elsewhere recently

Being in Wales it has been pushed back to 10pm to accommodate the Welsh bloody Open Snooker lolol

I actually enjoyed the show, but WTF are Ferrari thinking of? At what stage will that thing find it's way on to a poster or even appeal as the ultimate sports GT, the Bentley isn't my sort of dream car either but it might be if I was an overpaid bald footballer I suppose

....and how come the stars are getting quicker? Different tyres? Is the new Stig giving them better lines on the track - we need answers :?

I thought it was ok tonight , couldn't see the point of the Bentley v ferrari thing but actually thought the mobile scooter thing quite entertaining , slightly better then last week but along way off it's best yet

This week's show was ok - my least favourite of the series, but still fun to watch. The jet powered man was and is amazing. I sure would love a go, but I can't imagine finding anyone who would insure me!
