Top 10 convertibles - autotrader review

Mazda MX5 - I can go with that as a "fun car"
BMW 3-Series Convertible - Nope. 4 seater convertibles are just not cool, there was only one famous person who used a 4 seater convertible and i refuse to look like him.
Vauxhall Tigra - No.
MG TF - Looks like a ladies philishave
Mazda MX5 - Again.....you can't have two spots!!!
Honda S2000 - Woo :)
Mazda MX5 - Hang on a minute...? Did the AutoWhatever man happen to have a soft spot for them...??
Porsche Boxster - Cool, except everyone thinks you couldn't afford a "proper" porsche.....I happen to really like them as a drivers car :driving:
Toyota MR2 - Good value but not very quick in the real world
BMW 3-Series Convertible - Another spot....

Sweeping statements made hehe :fuelfire:

'Written by you'

= written by Joe Public who has never driven anything than the one convertible that they once had as a courtesy car by mistake, or when they were in their bosses 'repmobile' that had a folding roof.

That list wasn't made by people who knew what they were talking about...

MX-5 and S2000 are good, and the 3-series is good too, but they aren't the best 'verts in the world ever.

Have to say the 3 series convertible, previous shape, is one hell of a car, i've had two and loved them to pieces, fantastic driving car. I miss mine and although i love the zed i have to say i could be tempted to change back, except for the fact i think the new 3 series convertible has lost its' place as a drivers car, too much electrics between the wheels and the driver. If i see an older one on the road with its' roof down i sure think it looks cool 8)

And if pushed i'd say the only good car BMW has really produced is the 2000 - 2006 3 series convertible, styling and drive were spot on :poke:
I dare say it's heresy on this forum to say this but the only thing that got me into the zed was the styling and the fact that i loved my 3 series so much kept me looking at bmw (and it was a convertible, all other forms of car should be legally banned from production, white van man would be so much happier if he drove a convertible Vito). Outside of that i'm not sure i think much of bmw and as much as i dislike audis to drive, having seen a couple of the new convertibles cruising around, i think they're impressing me more than bmw at the moment :fuelfire:

Hear you loud and clear... My 330 'vert has just come up for sale again (bought my Z in Feb this year). Seeing the shots of her with the roof down just make me jealous. Beautiful, but love my Z to pieces.

Tell me that's NOT a good-looking 'vert?

A great looking car, and IMHO better than the current model. I sometimes think I should have bought one instead of the zed

Just not a fan of 4 seater convertibles. Especially when people then buy a diesel one.I always wonder is that because they enjoy the noise of tractor over their shoulder everywhere they go lol ;) :fuelfire:

Horses for courses guys, if i drove past someones driveway and there was a z4 and a 3 series convertible on there side by side i'd say they were pretty close to roofless heaven. I love my e89 but i also miss the 3 series - i guess i'd drive almost anything as long as the lid came off :)

Totally agree :) hence the move for me from a tin top to driving along with only the sky above me!

Audi A4 convertible in particular. Look like they should have Rosie and Jim sitting on the back of them.

I do think that the z4 is the best looking convrtbl for the money, but the e46 3ser 'vert is a nice car/used to have a hankering for an m3 vert :D

That list is just so way wrong....as said,mg tf,mx-5 x3,etc..............
mg- tf is piss poor, quality and on track
mx-5's are good, but not worthy of more than 1 place.

in that top ten,the boxster shouldv come joint 1st to the z4 (imho) :driving:
