Tool kit

Yep, mine is in a plastic holder next to the battery. I guess it'll be under the cover in the coupe.
 
yep, on the coupe it's on top of the battery along with tyre compressor and gunk, underneath the cover in the back quarter of the boot.
Or at least it should be!

Do you have the locking wheel nut key then? As that's usually in the toolkit!
 
Looks like I've got the tool kit just minus the towing eye and locking wheel nut.spoke to the old owner and he swore the locking wheel was there because he got new tyres fitted before he sold it.

Will have to ring Bmw tommorow and get new items.

You may struggle with a phone call unfortunately. From memory they have about 16 keys in a "master" box, but have to try each one, so you'd have to be physically there. At least that's what happened when mine wasn't supplied by the dealer I bought my roadster from.

My dealer just asked my my VIN number, and found the right key from that.

I now keep 3 keys (one at home, one in the toolkit, and one in the glovebox) - as I always seem to lose at least one of them when I come to change wheels/tyres.

My towing eye has the same problem. I always try to have two for trackdays, so that I can be towed out of the kitty litter easily (touch wood - never needed to in the Z4). But whenever I get a track day I can only ever find one. So I go and buy another, put it in the toolkit, and lo & behold I've only got one the next time I do a track day :P
