Broke out the DAS-6 DA polisher for the first time. Washed, clayed, polished and waxed daughter's Yaris and it came up a treat. Very easy to use after watching a couple of online tutorials and well recommended.

Now I'm less worried about turning it loose on IMmie :)

got any before/after's? Was this with the megs polish? I'm gona be buying one this summer i think, step 1 will be practice on the Mrs' 206 banger with dull paint.

...am on leave for the first time since starting a new job in December. The car is being serviced, so I can't do anything Z related today... The courtesy car is a mess though, and my OCD is giving me a serious twitch

However I have my instructions - do the washing, cut the grass. Sometimes I love not having to think for myself

You could always drive up here and just drool .... 8)

Had parked the car outside yesterday in the sun whilst working in the man cave, not having swirlmarks or wax gleam makes it look fantastic. Unlike the Polo which I waxed on Saturday which despite all my machine efforts still had some wax gleaming patches in the sun :x

Which reminds me... You need to tell me exactly how you manage to wash it without touching it at some point

I may need to buy more products for you whilst in NL, as the trick is using the garden spray tank (10 litres) which contains a diluted shampoo which you spray on the car (like insect spraying plants). Then you rinse that off which takes most of the dirt off, then wash mitt and hose to wash, then hot water with shampoo (twin bucket of course) to wash the final bit (that is the only contact you will have) and rinse.

Do the final rinse with the clean water from the DI vessel and let dry (or use the air dryer if there are no neighbours around 8) ).

It is the drying that normally kills the paint so if you avoid that, you won't damage the car.

If the weather is decent, drive the car around the block as the M has the brake system that dries the brakes whilst driving by applying it slightly, prevents that surface rust from appearing.

Just getting a fresh supply of DI sand (25 kg) delivered today as the water is not clean enough anymore. You could always buy half of that of me which will last a year in two sessions assuming you have the 11 litre DI vessel.

I didn't take pics but daughter is delighted and neighbour came out to look and admire it afterwards :)

It wasn't the Meg's kit, I went with the Monzerna one. If anything, I'd like to get a smaller backing plate and pads to get into some of the smaller areas.

Brilliant thing to have though, next job is to polish the vandalised door on the Corsa, I'll do before and after pics for that.

Today I decided that 'lunchtime' wasn't for lunch and was a 'hoon time' and went for a wee blast with the roof down for an hour. It was great fun and car feels a lot tighter since it's wee alignment and tracking treat on Friday.

got the bike out... nice to be going proper fast again...

took the back wheel off the Zed as it's got a second puncture in a week.... :headbang:

Searched downtown Tokyo, but still no sign of Godzilla. Disappointed.

Well, it was on the local news..,

Washed, polished and waxed the car.

Again.

Boy am I getting bored of keeping it clean 'just in case'. And I ache too.

I shall be having a beer very soon...

Drove over 800 miles today and had my first experience of derestricted autobahn in Germany. Quick stop over in Poland for the night and will finish off tomorrow in Slovakia.
