today i...

Done the front (with angel eyes) and sides, but don't like the clear rears/brake light either. Still undecided on whether to go the whole bumper, facelift rear lights and module route... although I like the idea of totally red rear lights, or the four-spots, but they're pretty difficult to get without paying a premium :)
 
Today I got up at 5.30 to go shopping 33 miles away in Carmarthen (my nearest recognisable town) for a pitchfork. Yes.

Weather is glorious. Sat outside with a cuppa watching a wren and a nuthatch raid the bird table.

Made a flask and a sarnie, whacked the roof down and set off - got my pitchfork and on the way back just turned off the main drag as soon as I could and meandered down a myriad of little side roads so deserted that there was grass growing down the middle - just how I like it. Just kept heading towards the sun - no map or satnav - until I ended up near home.

Perfect little outing and now totally chilled :) :thumbsup:

Got to drive #69 at Silverstone where i got sunburn at Zedfest (who'd a thunk it!) then came home to meet the new puppy :)

And got to meet lots of folk from here! :thumbsup:

...at Wee Bing's behest tried to keep up with a Monaro v8 and a Ferarri F430 on the M40 on the way home. Failed, obviously, but great fun trying :D

...arrived home to a house full of drunken women :roll:

...had to explain why Wee Bing and I took so many photos of the yellow Radical at Silverstone to Mrs Bing. Pics tomorrow :wink:

I spotted a truly lovely pair of Radicals....perched on a pair of very high stools :rofl:

Of course, I was there! I failed to talk to anyone except Steve, Exdos and Ben H though. I saw Taz arriving and admired his wheels (I was on foot), and I think I saw Tom taking photos from a distance. Sorry to have missed you. Did wee Bing get his fast lap, or was a fast lap with Mr Bing enough for one day? :D

I'm thinking of selling my Westfield in favour of something a little prettier in yellow...
 
Turns out the minimum age for hot laps was 13, not 12 as 'suggested' on the website... And they had none left anyway. He was cool with that, and enjoyed the lap - the fast part at least :D

I thought the pheonix yellow ///M must be exdos - it looked gorgeous in the sun :thumbsup:

Sorry I missed about 70% of the Forumites that were there. Was Tom there too? Beginning to feel like I failed completely on the grand day out. BBQ and an awning is the order of the day next time!

that was good how the roadster organisation all had a yellow ribbon, they also had plates on their cars
 
I was indeed there! And got some cracking pics! Was late so couldnt show the car! :( nm next time. But at the mo in London without a Lappy so will sort them tomorrow! I did see most of the familiar faces from the Cumbria meet! And saw a few familiar cars but didn't know people by face! Saw original gov taz two dogs guiseley family! Was a cracking day never seen so many Zs! I think my fav was that ac snitz Z3M coupe in estoril! Amazing! And that row of F40s was incredible! Sorry to everyone I missed!

They were an incredibly friendly bunch (must be Zed owners generally). All waving and beeping as we headed past them on the way to the circuit :thumbsup:

When the Ferrari came past me it was toying with an M3, though I might catch you up at some point on the M40 but you must have been going just that little bit faster.
 
Played spot the car on the way home from silverstone. Was hard to concentrate on my lane with so much beautiful metal on the other side. Now home and in search of the after sun for my silverstone 'tan' :(

We held a steady +20, then peeled off for a burger at Beaconsfield. Have to confess we had a play with the roundabouts down the A43, spotted the copper in the layby in time to avoid a ticket :D

Wee Bing was so tired he actually fell asleep at ramming speed on the M40 with the roof down and toons pumped up :o

I can remember the air shows and suchlike that I used to visit with my dad even now :thumbsup:
 
... cleaned the cars, then went for a late-morning hoon in 23 degree sunshine. Got back early afternoon, sat in the garden and had a beer whilst watching the Lancaster and two Spitfires fly past. Bliss. :thumbsup:
