today i...

...went to see how the trimmers are getting on with my seats. Then I patiently waited for some more Powerflex bushes to turn up in the post.... until the post arrived without them!

So, I contented myself with working on the 5er... black gloss vinyl wrap for the roof

That really suits the e60

Thanks. The guy was desperate to try to get me to use black CF wrap... think the gloss looks nice with the black tint on the windows. :)

... picked up the car from the dealers (got a new steering column fitted under warranty) and took it for a test drive. Luckily I was working 100 miles away so it got a good work out! Result

Did you notice the difference, even without the sticky steering? Mine seems much better

Today I used some furniture adhesive felt circles to stop my perspex wind deflector driving me mad by creaking and tapping on the hoops at speed. Test drive in the afternoon - result!

Blimey, what a difference, it looks really good, it flows from the windscreen to the rear window.

Yep, it's night and day, steering is so much more responsive - far, far better. Should have got it done ages ago.

It's an E60 M Sport front bumper... the car's a 545i SE so had standard bumpers originally....

Well, the seats are stripped and the new covers have been made up... just waiting for reassembly. I'm being as patient as I possibly can!!!

I have to be honest and say that your retrims are one of the things I am really anticipating, I just know it's going to look fantastic, :D but then I will be asking for the trimmers number and my wallet will be kicking me. :(

Their work is top quality... they've got a Toyota IQ in at the moment which is being completely retrimmed in a similar style as an Aston Martin Cygnet. Burgundy red leather and alcantara. They've had to sculpt shapes onto the door panels and seats as they were flat panels before. Car's not my cup of tea, but the work is awesome - it's costing £1000s to do though....

Fitted my new, clear, side indicators (with amber LEDs), and managed to give the car a good clean outside :) .... before the rain started again :x

I like a de gingered zed.

Have you done your rear lights? I haven't, on the basis that I don't think clear rear lights suit a black zed. All red would be better IMO

I have a spare set of lights at home but haven't started the project yet. Dremel might come in handy
