today i...

Picked up my M bumper from the paint shop only to find it had been sprayed by a 5 year old in a sand pit :o

Car failed it's MOT for corrosion on brake lines front to rear. Also noted an oil leak they reckon from an upper gasket, although they performed an oil service a few weeks ago and never noticed it.

So, new lines being run tomorrow (not BMW parts) and find/fix oil leak.

I'm estimating £300ish all in.

....had yet another bowl of Special K (other generic wheat flaked cereals are available) for breakfast and will be having one for lunch as well. No Friday beer at lunch time with the boys.

Holiday in 10 days time and I will resemble Daniel Craig when I emerge from the sea... #bulls**t. #completelie.

...drove through a tunnel that goes under a significant portion of the centre of KL and is over 4km long :o

#wishihadmyZ :(

...oh, and it was really twisty, with no speed cameras that I could see 8)

Was really looking forward to a 90 min drive down south in The Beast. I don't get to drive as often as I would like, have been looking forward to the drive all week. Went outside and clicked the zapper to open the garage door and after 2 seconds the garage door jammed and one of the cables snapped, and The Beast is trapped until the door is repaired next week.

Drive down will now be by Hyundai instead....a First World problem I know but am annoyed all the same, journey will not be any fun now.

Surely you could've forced the door up manually?

Believe me I tried but it is jammed solid!

Thanks buddy I can't believe the difference it made. Can't wait to get the geo done now.

I had my geo done earlier in the year, what a difference it made. I was sceptical, but what with the darned pot holes etc mine was way out

That's a proper bummer, feel your pain. Had a wire go on ours, a few months back. Fortunatly we managed to force it open. Different design to your door though, straight up and over.

Yesterday really but,

Had a run down from Montabaur to Freiburg on some lovely bits of Autobahn.
Steady 100mph, quite often 110 for a few miles then the odd 140mph until she started to squawk too much.

Got to admit i had a long chat with my buddy yesterday. And anyone (as long as you have the cash) can by a fast M car. With the few talents i have i can build something as fast if not quicker and it will be my own. Witch means it will hardly every work and mostly not be finished but it will be mine. Also i parked it on the drive so i could see it bum Saturday and the roadsters arse is amazing

I wouldn't say its the end of my coupe dreams... I am saving for one but i usually spend my savings on mods for the car i have now!!

Mate, if you have the skills then do it - lost of satisfaction down that road as you know. Personally the only thing I can do with a spanner is kill someone (probably myself), so I just caved and allowed my bank to be raped by PVR

Still a few things like RTAB limiters and engine mounts that I want to have done to it... But I am still staying under the SWMBO Car Spend Radar for now :ninja:
