To M or not to M

Go the whole hog and plaster M badges all over it after changing the bumper.

You should also consider a quad exhaust at the back too just for that extra pretend Z4MR illusion at the traffic light grand prix.

People that know will point and laugh as you drive past then have that one and only tear packed full of salty sadness and pity roll down the side of their face when they see a non M car dressed up as an M car.

Just remember that one tear is for you and not for the car. The car can be restored to original. Sadly you'll end up on http://www.barryboys.co.uk/ and have a thread along with pictures while your shameless attempt at deception is discussed amongst much joking and laughter.

Ask yourself tonight before you go to bed if you can actually take that sort of internet humiliation.

So, do ya feel lucky?!

Someone's very angry this weekend

Just let people do what they want and ignore it. It's not affecting your life in the slightest.

For what it's worth, I bought mine with the bumper already fitted. Doesn't bother me in the slightest. No normal person would even know it's a Z4M front bumper.

It's your car pal, do what you want !
I bought my non M with 224's already on, I'd no idea they weren't standard and don't care what others think.
But...asking for advice
Personally for me anyway, do anything except sticking an M badge on it!
That just says..Village Idiot with small willy syndrome! Don't do it.
Other than that, do what you want!
Just my opinion, not wanting to upset anyone!

I have a quandary got myself an M front bumper but cant decide whether I prefer my original.
New bumper is in montego blue & as you can see my car is black.
So there’s another £200 getting it painted.
What do I do bite the bullet & get it painted fit it & then make a decision or sell it on & stick with my original.
Decisions decisions decisions 😬😬

What are your wheels and tyres on that Kit kat - offsets too ?

Hi pal there m6 reps, 50 on the rears with 25mm spacers 47 on the front with 10mm spacers.👍

They look good.

Unfortunately can't do spacers in NZ without compliance. Circa $300 (77 GBP) for the spacers, then $560 (290 GBP) for compliance ....

I hang out a lot on the North American Z4 forum, and have done for ten years - a lot of the guys there are Z4M owners and are rightfully very enthusiastic about their cars. In all that time, I don't recall any of those guys ever dumping on another member for installing an M front bumper on a non-M Z4. In fact, that is a fairly common modification on that forum and I have even seen M owners provide help with all the various fittings needed to fit an M bumper (there are some extra bits needed and a different under-tray). However, putting M badges on a non-M car is very much frowned on, as you would expect.

So, its your car and if you ask me, get an M bumper if you want one, and install it. It will look bloody awesome!

I don’t see an issue as it’s your car and will look very good , so go for it

Thanks guys don’t really care what the “let’s keep it all standard” members think I have sprayed it with plastidip Matt black & fitted it today. still not 100% either way , picking up my freshly sprayed aero skirts tomorrow will fit them & take some pickies then make my decision.
Thanks for all your positive comments chaps suppose it would be a very boring & standard forum if we all thought the same way 😉

All done ready for the Easter weekend 👍
