To M or not to M

I have a quandary got myself an M front bumper but cant decide whether I prefer my original.
New bumper is in montego blue & as you can see my car is black.
So there’s another £200 getting it painted.
What do I do bite the bullet & get it painted fit it & then make a decision or sell it on & stick with my original.
Decisions decisions decisions 😬😬

slightly controversial, but i am old and prefer to keep car original bar minor enchancements.
not a lover of the bigger m components going on to non m cars.
trying to make it look like something its not is not my thing.
jmo, so please feel free to ignore.

In black most of the definition & design is lost anyway , jmo but id stick with the original , it still looks good to me & also has the added benefit of foglights that the M front doesn't have

There's definitely an element of truth in this. I went for an M Bumper on mine and i love it (i found the si bumper really "meh"). But you do miss some of the aggressive lines due to the colour (black) in a lot of light conditions.

Agree with this, although I did replace my wheels with a set of gorgeous 224's
 
Thinking of plastidip to see what it looks like in black would only cost £30 & peels off again if don’t like it 👍
 
Personally I'd stick with the original for the foglights, and as others have said I don't think that the difference would be as noticeable in black.

Sadly for Jl-c if your M bumper hasn't been fitted to a non-M before, it's probably Interlagos Blue rather than Montego. :(
 
No it’s definitely montego blue or was it’s now Matt plasidip black. Waiting to see what it’s like when dry tomorrow 🤞
 
Go the whole hog and plaster M badges all over it after changing the bumper.

You should also consider a quad exhaust at the back too just for that extra pretend Z4MR illusion at the traffic light grand prix.

People that know will point and laugh as you drive past then have that one and only tear packed full of salty sadness and pity roll down the side of their face when they see a non M car dressed up as an M car.

Just remember that one tear is for you and not for the car. The car can be restored to original. Sadly you'll end up on http://www.barryboys.co.uk/ and have a thread along with pictures while your shameless attempt at deception is discussed amongst much joking and laughter.

Ask yourself tonight before you go to bed if you can actually take that sort of internet humiliation.
