Nice to see a similar spec car to mine, with a few thousand more miles, up at £20k.
Anyone else notice this in this months BMWCCGB magazine? Although they've got a photo of a 3.0si, it's nice to see Hexagon bracketing the Z4MC with those other cars.

Indeed - an ad clearly aimed at the classic BMW aficionado market, can't get the Z4 picture correct and completely neglects the M Coupe :roll:

Interesting on the E92 and M6 becoming classics. My thoughts...
For:
- only NA V8 M engine ever in the M3 or BMW M.
- last of line M NA engines. I don't think we've fully come to terms with that fact yet. We will when we have electric/petrol hybrid cars powered by 3-cylinder turbo cars. I'm sure they'll be a hoot to drive but we will reminisce and get misty-eyed at these engines I suspect. They are part of a rich history in BMW M that we will never see again. BMW do not now make an unblown straight six engine for example.
- only V10 M engine ever in M6/M5 but M6 sold in much smaller numbers I believe.
- "unique" styling of M6.
- last M3 coupe (that one's a bit tenuous I admit)!
Against:
- ubiquity in the case of the M3
- marmite styling of the M6
- lack of any real competition heritage in the case of the M6.
- I'm sure there are others but I can't think of them yet!
I'm sure low mileage well maintained examples of these cars will eventually creep back up in value simply because of supply and demand laws. We've seen the same with the E46 M3 I think. The really good ones still fetch strong money. Classics though? It'll be a brave man to put his money on that.
