Hi,
I've used Autoglym SRP for years to polish my car after washing, but have never really applied further finishes. My previous cars were red, burgundy and blue. Having recently got a Titanium Silver z4 I wasn't entirely satisfied with the end result (wasn't a deep shine and didn't last very long) I started looking around the forums and entered a new world of cleaning products (clay, carnuba waxes, sealants, etc).
So last week when I cleaned the car I decided to do my usual wash/dry/SRP routine, followed by EGP (extra gloss protection) which is a synthetic sealant. I have to admit that so far I have been very happy with the result - seemed to shine better and is lasting very well. However should I look at applying a natural wax as well, or should I just use something like aqua wax when I next give it a clean?
I've heard that it is hard to get a 'deep' finish on the silver, and i've also heard people suggest that synthetic sealants are better on lighter cars? Do people agree with this? Also, whilst I'm happy with the autoglym, is there anything better that people would suggest using?
