WTF????? How did that happen? Why didn't my light illuminate?

Wow do threads go off topic here.

I had to reset mine a few weeks ago coz i have a slight slow puncture, and since I've reset it the tyre has gone down again but the light hasn't come on. Will have to dig the manual out of the boot soon as I'm replacing the tyre and want it to warn me in future.

And agreed - wow does this car wobble when the pressures down. I actually quite like it =)

Damn! Thread is back on topic :x

These days we are getting temperatures between 13C & -3C - plays havoc with the pressures.... It's like taking a cold shower  :poke: :fuelfire:

Regardless, the car performed wonderfully, no? Or was it us that performed wonderfully in the car? 8)

You know, that sounds realllly baddd....
It does??... :? .....Everyone here knows we're just kidding shipkiller. Don't worry, you'll be the focus of some sick joke or statement veeery soon, you'll get used to lots of :poke: around here.

Yes, I know everyone is throwing a jab or too. Too hard not too.

It IS good to know that everyone HAS a good sense of humor and does not take things the wrong way. We need more of that in everyday life.

In regards to me, after 24 years driving Fast Attacks around, you develop a very thick skin. You have too.

Oh, I like your last comment about the 'scratches on the hood, giving your truck character'. Thats a good one.

..*oh no he didn't go there*...Yes, your CAR performed acceptable..but, I could tell by the suspension, feel and movement that air pressure needed tending to..sort of like..oh Lord, let me not go there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, c'mon FNI... GO THERE! I'm dying to hear what you were gonna say! :P

And ShipKiller, thanks! Do you have any "character" in your truck?

those aren't scratches on the hood, they're claw marks from the pesky slow pedestrian.

Yes I do, but from the pictures, it's hard to see. I try to keep it up.

But the Rock Damage from off-roading had to be fixed....

Keep in mind that the tire pressure monitor only monitor pressure differences. So if all tire are low (from temp changes etc.) the tire monitor is useless. So check tire pressure frequently!! :)

It doesn't even monitor pressure anymore. It monitors wheel turn rate using the ABS sensors. A flatter tyre rotates more than one with more pressure. Sets off the alarm.

if that were the case, mine would constantly go off as I "slide" around corners and such. My wheels rarely are spinning at the same speed... :driving:

correct - only for cars up until 2006 though. The 2007 models have a proper sensor unit in the rim / valve somewhere. I think I've somehow disabled mine using the console switch..

I wondered if I put the tire pressure to the factory recommend psi for the 18" if the tramling of the tires would go away. Set the front tires at 33 psi and the rear tires at 38 psi, per the sticker on the door opening. Doesn't make any noticeable difference. It still amaizes me that the car likes to dance around but when you set it in a corner it feels glued to the road. Wish it felt more glued to the road in a straight line. Anyone ever experience the tamling in a corner when you are pushing it??

It's not so much the pressure as the tyres I'm afraid... The early model Z4 was even worse:
