You should be very proud of yourself and him, hes gorgeous!
Women bring kids up on their own all the time and we don't get to hear much about men doing the same but of course there's loads of single dads too.
Hard work but so rewarding and everyone's right, make the most of him, he'll be a pain in the ass teenager before you know it!
wow again thanks everybody for such a positive repsonse, i think the hardest part for me was for men their is very very little support, so it was and IS a steep learning curve, the scary thing ANYbody can be in this position, its got soo much better , i wont lie, at the start i was crying like a baby reguarly with just pure frustration, many a night id be up 3 times then working and training from 6am, top off the baby was literally craving his mom, he just DIDNT want me, of course he wouldnt he just wanted the comfort of his mom,,,, jesus remembering those times... wow....
i wont lie i still have days where ill stop and think about whats happened and feel genuinely sad, still heartbroken i guess.... but finally...... light is at the end of the tunnel, the baby now sleeps all night, he just started to walk his first steps, and im slowly getting back to being myself..... thank god for helping me through.... i guess this situation will leave me with a very special relationship with my little boy..... i hope it does anyway.....
most of all its taught me a VERY important lesson about relationships..... you REALLY can be surprised by the person you spend to choose you life with....i will be very careful next time round.............
